Aluko just finished her usual bland, learned by rote, comments, with the gem that losing 7-1 to Germany in the last World Cup was the best thing that could have happened to them!

She clearly knows her stuff. And as for bland, compared to some of those she's been next to, she seems like Billy Connolly.
Personally, not seen any evidence she knows her stuff.

The Mexican player did step on him....barely. Probably due to the fact Neymar stuck the ball between his legs to stop him getting it to take the throw.

What on earth was that reaction about?

Looked like he just picked the ball up from between Neymars legs to me.

What has Clattenberg seen there to make him think its a red? did anyone else see it??

He did stand on his ankle

I love the World Cup but the play acting really does my head in.

The bloke did tread a bit on his ankle - but was nothing really

I would say it was more than a step. Looked more like a slow and deliberate grind on the most sensitive and bony part of the ankle. I agree with Clattenberg.

says a lot about the "favourites" when they have to cheat to beat a team like little old mexico

I missed it as watching Wimbledon so not really seen it. The bit I saw was one min Neymair was holing his head as though bring shot, then forgot about his head the min then Mexico tried to pick ball up in between legs. However when I have clicked over Brazil go down too easily.

Seriously, give it a year or 2 and a few of the Mexico players here will be in court, the game looks suspecious

Ah right, I completely missed that. Need another look at the replay of it but it must have been subtle.

Neymar probably would have got more sympathy from me if he hadn't acted like his ankle was broken.

Delayed reaction by Neymar says it wasn’t more than a step imo.

Must have missed the bit where the snorefest that is Patrice Evra sarcastically clapped her for factually correcting some of the bollocks he was speaking then.

Brazil haven’t exactly lit up the World Cup have they? When I think of some of their previous teams - bit average.

Brazil have really been grinding these results out haven't they this WC. Don't think they have been 2 goals better than Mexico today but there you go.

Brazil are pretty solid, they'll be hard to beat. They are a bit like the team that won in 94, won a lot of games 1-0.

Ochoa is an outstanding keeper and in the US we have known this for years. I wonder if finally top level clubs in Europe start sniffing around.
