Only 20 years old, and I know this is silly because you have no idea what calibre of players are going to come out of this country from now, but feels like the best chance I'll ever get to see us do this.
It's completely taken over the nation.
Every bar/pub you go in to it is all anybody is talking about. It doesn't matter what team you support, everybody loves eachother.
Never felt so proud to be English, and never felt so at home in my home country. It's special, really special - drink it in.
Think someone might have been "drinking it in" today ....
Wow. Stuck in Fiji. Bars here shut st 10pm and the matvh kicked off at 2am but WE ONLY WENT AND WON!!!!! Got that feeling I had back in 1990, and dish I was back home today.
I'm in LA on wednesday - anyone know what time locally the game starts?
If England play Belgium in the finals... it will be sold in the global press as "Brexit vs EU." Bet on it!
FYI, I can't think of anyone who's really in favor of the way the European Parlement and Government work . And I'll have no trouble finding people for a firing squad for that former Belgian Prime Minister, Guy Verhofstadt .
So I've had a bit of a lie down because it turns out when you have a cold not sleeping then running isn't good for you?
I've supported England for quite some time now, but I know it's not anywhere near the same as it is for you lot. I'm so happy for all of you. I desperately wish I could be out there with you.
A couple things, without reading: 1) I know the focus might be on the miss and then not laying it off to Kane, but the fact of the matter is Lindelof and Granqvist will be seeing Raheem Sterling in their nightmares. He ran them absolutely ragged. The way he creates spaces by dropping off, pulling wide, and then those runs in behind, it must be hell to defend against him. I was willing for him to score so badly. But sometimes they don't go in. There is no one else in the squad who can do all the things he does. Goals or not, he's undroppable for me.
2) Jesse Lingard is the unsung hero of this team. He never stops running. He combines so well and he links midfield and attack.
3) Incredibly pleased for Harry Maguire. I was unconvinced by him but he's really grown into this tournament.

If you're anywhere near Santa Monica, I've always enjoyed watching England games there (a lot of ex-pats in that area): http://www.yeoldekingshead.com

11am Wednesday, LA time.
Nice one. I'll pack the wife and kids off to Anaheim and find a nice bar in Santa Monica. Italia '90 shirt all ready.

Stuck in Fiji, that's rough.
Ha ha. You may mock, but right now I wish I was in London. I still remember that semi final against Germany in the William Camden in Bexleyheath. Fiji can't match footie.

I remember watching a Cup Final at about 7am in that pub, lots of not very good beer, a full fry-up, and Di Matteo spanking one past Ben Roberts after about 2 seconds.
Another strong performance but let’s be honest, we have had luck on our side with the quality of the opponents. Usually you aren’t playing a side ranked 23rd in the FIFA rankings in a quarterfinal match

I take your point but Sweden qualified for this tournament by beating Italy and Nederlands and won their Group including Germany and Mexico.
I’m checking flights and hotels for next weekend but don’t want to tempt fate. If I wait until after the game on Wednesday it will probably be too late.

We deserved an easy draw afree the hard work of pretending we wanted to beat Belgium.

4) Jordan Pickford. Do I need to say any more?

Any bar suggestions welcome.
I’ve just done the maths and realised I’m old.
So many disappointments in the past but....
Is it coming home?
Go and play with freedom and let’s see where it takes us.
We should fear no team now.
Come on England......I need my 1966!
They fully deserved their quarter final place.
