rummaging around in HMV a few weeks ago I found a 3 cd set, in total bout 60 tracks,
pretty much covering the oeuvre of the late lamented John Martyn .. mixture of styles and sounds, from basic folk to jazz .. mixed bag but decent value for £4.99 .. got it playing in the background as I work1 -
Let's Eat Grandma's new album 'I'm All Ears', is amazing, I've been playing it front to back on repeat over the last few days.

A national treasure, God rest her soul.
It has been said that Motown singer Mary Wells assumed Dusty was black until she saw her on television.
And of course, it was the newly departed Aretha's producer Jerry Wexler who produced "Dusty In Memphis" arguably her finest hour.1 -
Flame tree - Cold Chisel
Ozzy Rock usually induces a smuggy smirk out of me, but this one is so close to home, it really shoves that frog down my throat.

Moseley Shoals - Ocean Colour Scene. Listened to this all the way through the other day for the first time in probably well over 15 years. Such a good album and really brought back some memories2
