Seventeen days is in my opinion the new deadline. If it’s not over the line by 31st August why would anyone want to complete until January and suffer the monthly costs with no real way of influencing anything.

except that you can appoint a CEO, CFO etc etc, set budgets for player acquisitions in January, start sounding out potential signings ( via agents of course ;-) ), sort out other issues at the Club, engage with the fans properly and generally start running the Club as a proper Club. Wait till January and this season is definitely fucked.

Also RD can't do much more damage. Once we get past Aug 31st RD can't get rid of any players & currently its only to foreign teams anyway......only really Bauer now would attract interest from overseas.

There have been house, car and shop selling analogies, but at no point has anyone likened the sale of the club to a surrogate pregnancy, and subsequent sale of the child. I’m looking forward to the next 1000 pages.
