Attitudes to race and morality are not binary. You can think that genocide against an ethnic group is sick whilst simultaneously being a racist.
Churchill was one of the first to call out fascism and nazism as an evil, he even made “a deal with the devil” (his peace and alliance with Stalin) to defeat it. So you’re arguing against your own point.

I may be wrong, but I believe winning the US apprentice has had a profound impact on Morgan. I think he believes he can be the British version of Trump. He tries to take popular stances and that seems to be the key for him now rather than acting on any principles he might of had. As you say, he picks arguments with people who don't really matter, like a feminist who covers herself in spaghetti, this bloke today, the bloke who wanted to be younger etc... He knows the people at home will side with his position without showing your understanding what is behind it all. Why argue with irrelevant people? It is self promotion.
