Nope, Kewell was sacked after about 25 minutes. And as for the pic, has he got anything to photograph? Highly doubt it.The Red Robin said:Well, Harry Kewell is already there as manager for them. If only Roland had sent a dick pic to someone then all of this could have been done and dusted.

Oh dear. Would guess that its highly likely to be the same consortium (IMO). What happens next if it is is really depressing...kafka said:

They are doing the reverse of what the Belgium's did to them. Instead of the hurry, up get your money out, we have a queue of British, Middle Eastern, Russian, American, Chinese, etc all lined up willing to pay 70 large ones, The Aussies are letting them know there is no shortage of lower league teams to buy and for far less.cafc-west said:

If, that is, the story is true. Because - and I don't want to cast football club owners in a bad light here - it has been known for media leaks regarding potential football club purchases to have been ever-so-slightly complete bullshit.charltonkeston said:

A bit more on the Aussies and Notts Co. here:

Maybe Muir picked up a CARD protest scarf and got the wrong idea. Eyes peeled at their game this weekend.2 -
Possibly, but the article describes them as "three unnamed businessmen",cafc-west said:

But from what has been said by a number of sources about 'our' Aussies - that the structure of their consortium is 'complicated' (including that it's now 'Aussies plus others') - strongly suggests that there are somewhat more than 'three businessmen' involved?
However, it's possible that these three Notts County Aussies are people previously involved with the CAFC Aussie 'consortium'?

Can't be our Aussies then. At least two of them have names.micks1950 said:

quite possibly and they would be paying a lot less so don't need so many in their consortium I'd guessmicks1950 said:

IF it was the same Aussies that have been trying to buy us for 15 months (or whatever) then quite frankly I'd be glad if they've gone, as something has to give.
I'm still convinced that the Aussies agreed Roland's price a year ago, and it's this which has "priced out" other buyers. No way will Roland have allowed their bid to drag on for so long, unless they were the ones prepared to pay his price5 - Sponsored links:

Agreed. If the Aussies can’t or won’t get the deal over the line, clear off out of the way. Then Duchatelet might get real with the price tag.killerandflash said:IF it was the same Aussies that have been trying to buy us for 15 months (or whatever) then quite frankly I'd be glad if they've gone, as something has to give.

So if I understand this correctly, Roland Duchatelet is waiting for us to get promotion to get the highest figure mentioned (won't happen)
The consortium are waiting for Cafc to drop into League 2 where they can get us for 18 million and where the top wage is £1500 a week and yet the crowd will be 12 to 13k because of the rising of the phoenix from the ashes senario and where the 5 year plan is to reach the Championship.
(Won't happen)
Impassé.

So the message seems to be that the Aussies should clear off, in order to make Roland drop his price and find another buyer?
In other words, it's the Aussies' fault that the price is too high and if only they would disappear then the price would go down so the club can be sold to someone else.
Not sure that logic stacks up, to be honest.9 -

Well he has paid a lawyer a hefty sum to try and avoid doing so, but I am sure he is just making a point and has nothing to hide.Henry Irving said:

If the Aussies were the ONLY people to accept Roland's price, then yes it's them that have kept the price high.Chizz said:So the message seems to be that the Aussies should clear off, in order to make Roland drop his price and find another buyer?

If ALL potential owners told Roland they would only pay say £25m, then Roland would have to drop the price below what he's asking. If one group seem happy to pay £40m then to him that's justification that his price is fair.1 -
