Matthew Slater has been the highlight of this game so far for me, is it too far to put a player in the HoF just from his special teams performance? He is incredible.0

Goff has finally woken up0
-
I kinda feel bad for Goff, he’s just getting ruined0

That could be the winner 10-3 Patriots0
-
6th TD of the playoffs for Michel, pretty insane numbers0
-
That drive was the killer. Even if the Rams can respond, the Patriots have found the way to open up the opposition at will.0
-
Game over with that interception. Inexperience tells.0

Strange game but enjoyable none the less. Edelman should be MVP.1

Always like Edelman, his ability to find space still amazes me.

Worst... Superbowl... ever...2

Agreed. I'm not having this "defensive" show nonsense. Bad decision making and execution all round.Missed It said:Worst... Superbowl... ever...

I disagree - it was a Pats tactical masterclass (brb gonna wash out my mouth). The Red Robin said:

- The Patriots ran man coverage 62% of snaps this season, the highest man rate in the NFL. Yesterday in the Super Bowl, the Patriots ran man 10% of plays. 90% zone. Completely changed their scheme and caught Goff completely off-guard.
- Their blitz schemes changed with pretty much every blitz, so the offensive line were constantly having to adapt.
- Van Noy and Hightower were much - MUCH - better at audibling (so to speak) defensive coverage, when the Rams stayed huddled until the 15-second mark when comms are cut.

That said, it was pretty boring. Also, another great stat: Big Boi Drove Farther Downfield Than the Rams on 58% of Their Drives.
If we analyze the halftime show shot in which Big Boi drove onto the field, we see Big Boi roughly park at the 48. Big Boi entered from the same side of the 50 he parked at, meaning Big Boi did not in fact exit Big Boi territory before punting to Adam Levine (AL).
Now, on to the meaty stats:
First Half:
LA Punt at LA 25 to NE
LA Punt at NE 47 to NE
LA Punt at LA 9 to NE
LA Punt at NE 49 to NE
LA Punt at LA 39 to NE
LA Punt at LA 40 to NE
Big Boi Punt at BB 48 to AL
Second Half:
LA Punt at LA 46 to NE
LA Punt at LA 6 to NE
LA Field Goal at NE 26
LA Punt at LA 30 to NE
LA Pick at NE 27
LA Field Goal at NE 30
The Rams crossed their own 48 yard line on only 5/12 drives. Therefore, Big Boi drove further downfield in his own territory than the Rams on 7/12, or 58%, of his drives.
Big Boi outplayed McVay.2 -
Edelman is a beast. That is all.1
