Is that bill treagold or whatever his name was who used to run coaches for the supporters club?
is the other fella wally his sidekick

Bill Treadgold was an absolute gentleman .
Every time my lot got on his coach he used to greet us by saying.
I hope you boys are going to behave today.
Of course we will Bill we replied.
And sometimes we actually did.
Happy days .

Bill was a good bloke but a bit like Murray his "I wish they would just bulldoze the Valley to the ground so we can concentrate on the football" Quote in the dark Sellhurst years led to him losing a lot of my respect.

Wally was a legend. I believe he died as he got off the coach at Sunderland in November 1997? Always remember him telling me throughout the 70 and 80s that Les Berry was never a footballer .

Wally certainly was a legend .
Regarding Bill I never knew he came out with that comment.
But even so I won't let it cloud my memory of the man.

Think it was the Thursday night before the last game in 85! A couple of Millwall mates helped us.

I'm sure I've seen that handwriting elsewhere.

I couldn't find another general Charlton photo thread. I have loads more to post up at some time in the future. I hope that you find some of them interesting. @Henry Irving , you can copy any, just let me know which ones. Edit @LargeAddick you might find these of interest. You might note the recently deceased Craig Norris on the left. Looks like a cardigan in this one. Dishing out leaflets on Red, White and Black day. Blackheath after Wembley. Carlo handing out trophies at the Bexley and District Junior league at their finals in Mottingham. Scott Minto at the same event. Dublin Pre-season friendly Ticket office for match tickets in Dublin. Guiness factory tour in Dublin. Gee gees during a non match day. At Wembley 1998

@Henry Irving the cheer up Peter Reid banner has been in storage in Newcastle since 1998 and likely to be a Wembley next week. Any interest to the museum? It made a fleeting appearance at the end of season video.
