My guesses, either John the undercover cop, his boss, his ex-comm lady or Neil Morrissey's character.
Have I missed anyone from the show?

Oh yes, but surely too obvious.0 -
Can't believe you're overlooking Kate Fleming.
She is heavily involved.0 -

Why is operation pear tree being undertaken without AC-12s knowledge unless they suspect Hastings??0
-
Hastings definitely does seem shifty, in the first episode he wrapped everything up and pinned it on Hilton REALLY quickly given its several series they've been investigating for. But I don't think he's the mastermind but I can see him being involved in a secondary capacity.1

It's going to be someone new...
Feel that they're making Hastings a bit too obvious, unless the ideas are drying up.0 -

Absolutely no chance she is dodgy IMO2 -

As his character gave the nod for the police woman to be eliminated, why is there speculation that he may still be a good cop?3 -
Not watched any of the previous series. Thought I would have a go at this one. Jury still out for me. One of the weird scenes last night that I was hoping would be explained here, but hasn’t so far, is when the gangsters hijacked the convoy carrying confiscated weapons. It seemed like about 10 gangsters using military style automatic rifles fired about 200 rounds into the cars carrying the police who were protecting the convoy. When the main character asked how many casualties he was told zero! That, together with the scene where the undercover officer seems to prevent one of the gangsters being shot.....well actually I don’t know what was going on there! But, am I right in assuming that the writer is asking me to believe that the undercover officer replaced all the ammunition that was to be used in all the weapons involved in the hijack with blanks and the gangsters did not realise they were firing blanks? Or am I just completely missing major parts of the plot here?0

I was assuming the cars were bullet proof.4

If you watch this series without watching any of the previous then its pointless. One of the things LOD does best is continue its plots and character developments through each series.11

I thought that the fact that we saw massive holes exploding all over the cars suggested that the director was making the specific point that the cars were not bullet proof. But that also means they weren’t firing blanks! Which means I am writing rubbish here and need to stop and rewatch the scene.3

I thought Gill the dodgy lawyer had to resign in disgrace before so why would she be allowed to do a similar job?
Anyway my favourite tv show bar none, it’s brilliant.1 -

Some of it is becoming a bit far fetched. So the four cars escorting were all bullet proof with armed police officers, but the van the guns were in looked like it was hired from Enterprise and driven by a civilian?
Can't wait for next week though!

Pretty sure there were casualties, I thought the report/update on the news in episode one said three dead and one (the lady cop who ordered them to go back) was critical (but presumably still alive... For now.)
I'm pretty sure that there is more to that scene than just the drug hijack but don't know what that is. Like there is a specific reason or agenda beyond just the drugs.0 -

I took it that Stephen Grahams character gave the order to shoot low on the vehicles and pop the tyres (as he didn't want innocent coppers being killed) and he stepped in on the other bloke shooting the copper for the same reasons. This has raised suspicions with one of the crew members, who's now been nicked himself and is out the way for the time being.4 - Sponsored links:

If Ted, Steve or Kate are bent coppers it would be like when I found out Santa and the tooth fairy were fake news, gutted.
How Ted Hastings turned down Polly Walkers characters offer in the last series shows he's a better man than me ? ( I only ever give in to temptation)
Superb drama even if it's not subtle.

I need to watch all of them. When did the series start 2012?? Shame they are not available on download?0

Bring back “Call the midwife”.3

I don't think Hastings is involved yet.
The reason I say yet is because of the visit from the retired police federation rep who offered him the money back on his bad land deal and the reason he is skint.
Each of the bent coppers have had something that they could be blackmailed with and this I assume is how they will possibly get Hastings involved if he accepts the money.2 -

Its been more than hinted at through the last few series that Hastings is in financial trouble and living in some crappy accomodation. Thats why i dont think he is H, surely if he was in with organised crime so long he would have enough money behind him or contacts to not be living like that?
Like you though,I am suspicious about this offer hes had of money back on this land deal...im hoping he is as straight as i think and cant be bought. Hes my favourite character i think, along with Dot Cotton who was excellent0
