all good things come to an end .. and we have lost with a very weakened team to one of the league's most in-form teams1

We've won four games on the trot three times this season; three games on the trot the once and two games on the trot we've done twiceEveshamAddick said:Can’t see us having the consistency needed over 3 play off games with this squad. No strength in depth, not enough goals, too many spongefoot midfielders.
Nor do we need to win three Play-Off games0 -
Give it a rest. We were shit today but we were probably due one of those after our recent form. I still fancy us.EveshamAddick said:Can’t see us having the consistency needed over 3 play off games with this squad. No strength in depth, not enough goals, too many spongefoot midfielders.1 -
Don’t ever wanna see Solly at Left back again . He was total aids before his red card1

Fair point - but we just seem to go missing at the crucial moment. A win today was surely there for the taking when they went down to 10 men. How many shots did Aribo, who is our most likely scorer from midfield, winForeverAddickted said:

get today? All the goal attempts seemed to be from Williams who has only managed 4 career goals. Aribo has 6 this season.
20 shots and 14 corners, and our goal is from a penalty.0 -
Can't win 'em all. We are doing brilliantly to be where we are, get the defeat out of the way and then race into the playoffs...

Very true; we had chances to go into the top two (at least level on points) or really close on those placings around the Scunthorpe | Peterborough | Oxford games this season from memoryEveshamAddick said:

Scunthorpe: We lost Page after five minutes
Peterborough: Taylor was suspended
Oxford: Purrington | Vetokele missing
Says it all about our season rather than the squad being "bottlers" (What the fuck does that even mean) than many believe0 -
Feck feck , feckerty feck !0

Fuck around with the team you lose Sarr should start every game plus why didn’t he come on why1

Them going down to 10 hindered us. The Ref never got to grips with the time wasting....Parker is not an option and I dont think Solly was a red card. Awful ref who slowed the match down at every opportunity.1

Only logical explanation for that line up is Robinson threatened to eat Bowyer. I’m sure of it.1

At least we can rest players for the playoffs. Other teams going for automatic who miss out with hopefully pick up injuries or suspensions.0
-
That's what happens when your owner fails to invest in a squad of players. Some poor performances today. Oxford are a very limited team but out fought us in important areas.0
-
Igor and Ben Purr both really big misses.
Oh well, playoffs here we come.0 -

You certainly get used to not losing but it still feels just as bad when it happens.Stu_of_Kunming said:

Felt we deserved a draw but oxford defended very well. So frustrating we can’t keep our best 11 fit for more than 1 game!!!

What hasnt helped against Oxford this season is the fact that Robinson knows a lot of our team
Pearce | Bauer | Solly | Sarr | Dijksteel | Aribo | Phillips
He'd have known their strengths / weaknesses so would have been an easier job for him to tell his player to put pressure on Solly
Its the one crazy aspect from Bowyer as surely... SURELY he had to realise that fact0 -
I don’t like Roland as much as the next guy, but we can’t whack out that line every time we lose.Hartleypete said:That's what happens when your owner fails to invest in a squad of players. Some poor performances today. Oxford are a very limited team but out fought us in important areas.
Even with a few out we had more than enough to win that today, we were just let down by a few terrible individual performances and some weird decisions from Bowyer.

Tinkering and injuries done for us today before a ball was kicked even with a pen early doors and ten men men for part of the game well fell short today. Put today behind us, lick our wounds, gear up for the play offs and we go again Monday.2

Yeaaa... Dont think anyone will have the same opinion as you when you think someone was "aids"cafc4life said:5 -
