To finish the story sorry. I met up with my dad when i was 16 i had not seen him for 10yrs as my mum booted him. So after an awkward 1st meeting football came up and it turned out my dad was Charlton. When i told him i had been going to watch them at selhurst and supporting them for a few years it was such a weird moment. My mum had never mentioned anything about my dad in terms of football. Anyway he told me stories of going to games away such as Chelsea and how many uncles and cousins i had that went to games. Fate or coincidence i never know. It cant be genetic ive told myself thats stupid. It is just so much of a coincidence i never got my head around it.

We have not lost at home in the league since my before my son (October). Not counting Donny as it wasnt technically a league game and we won on pens anyway He has already been to 2 games at 7.5 months old - Proper Charlton.

I like neither his humour nor his politics, and I suspect he wouldn’t be too fond of mine, but being an Addick is a broad church so I’d hope we’re both allowed through its hallowed turnstiles.
