    3 year deal.

Interesting that Bowyer and Gallen are still talking like they're here for the long term, makes me feel slightly more positive about their future at least

This Bowyer situation is weird. Obviously doing a lot of work in the background despite the contract issues.

Didn't see this coming, let alone a cash purchase!

Roland has given us all a Bonne.

Seriously, how are we pronouncing that?

Welcome Macauley! Let's hope you've got the ability and potential to step up.

I said this on the rumours thread, but exactly the right sort of punt on a raw striker. Hopefully more Ian Wright/Jamie Vardy than Chris Dickson or Stuart Fleetwood.

    Underwhelmed to say the least.

Championship club signing someone who was non league last season, but what do u expect under Roland.

I may be wrong and he may be class, but just because he scored goals at non league, doesnt mean he will smash them in at Championship level.

No doubt him and Lyle will be our only 2 strikers next season as well.

    Really hope I am wrong

Last time we went up, a Zimbabwe international in his early twenties was crucial to our efforts...

I really thought Dickson was going to be 20 goals a season man. Then I saw him play.

Great signing but really not fussed until Bowyer signs and more important, a new owner.

Now sign Eaves and our striker options will start to look a lot better.

    Welcome

Young and scores a goal or ten.

How well he'll make the step up we'll have to see but Gallen has proved he has a good eye while Bowyer and Jacko can improve him.

First of many under a new owner I hope.
  • Trust Bowyer and Gallens judgement, fingers crossed he makes the step up.

Potentially a good signing, which needs to be backed up by new contracts being signed and some intent being shown to stay in the division next year.

If we start the season with Taylor and Bonne as our only strikers, we are only going one way (I imagine Taylor would be off in that situation too).

He's still employed and being paid until the end of the month. Working hard to keep his job but still has to work even if things aren't going his way.

I'm sure he's confident it will be resolved.

this, Eaves will give us another option than what we have with Lyle and Bonne.

A fine option as a young, hungry 3rd choice striker. Pleased with that.

    Calm down.
Our days of shopping at Harrods disappeared long ago.
I want young players with passion and ambition and who don't have a disabled sticker on their car.
    Welcome to the valley Maculey.
I hope Lee Bowyer will be your manager so you can develop your game.

That's the post Duchatelet will send to Jim White to prove that the fans hate Bowyer

Underwhelmed? We just paid money for a player. A Championship/League One equivalent cost Sunderland £4m last season. That didnt work out too well.
  • That's not the real scarfy!

    Must be still boycotting.
