Plus a right footed CB, that would give us 2 players per position.1

No idea if bullshit, but seen him suggested as a target.

Then he’d be covering two positions. We have 14 players signed up so far, we need 8 more to have the two per position Bowyer wants (assuming no one leaves and no u23s become part of the first team).superclive said:

Another of Ben Mayhew's brilliant stat posts, showing that we have the lowest % of retained players from last season of any team in the Championship! Wolves amazingly so far haven't lost anyone who appeared for them last season

All gone quiet on the Otzumer front?0
-
Wonder how much that percentage increases if we get Bielik, Cullen and Williams back.0

We were 51.9% last season and we won promotion...just sayingkillerandflash said:Another of Ben Mayhew's brilliant stat posts, showing that we have the lowest % of retained players from last season of any team in the Championship! Maybe. Did not play a lot last season and maybe part of a deal with Pearce.Covered End said:No idea if bullshit, but seen him suggested as a target.

Bowyer hoping for 1 maybe 2 signings this week. Ideally we’ll be able to fly them out to Spain to join the group.
All players we’re trying to bring in are ones looking to prove themselves in the Championship.
Bowyer also talks about Aneke coming in to play the number 10 role, but sees him as versatile so he may also play up front.

Bielik is no way coming back, if he did go to the championship it would be a top 6 team, not us.1
-
Interesting the LB says Lockyer is the replacement for Bauer and that Anele will be playing as a no.100

Linked with Glenn Whelan who has just left Villa.1 -
He will go to a club where he thinks he will be first choice to play in my opinion.J BLOCK said:Bielik is no way coming back, if he did go to the championship it would be a top 6 team, not us.
He is a talented player who will quite rightly have ambition to play in the Premiership. His best opportunity will be to play and get noticed. A good start could see him move there as early as January. A much better option than hoping the club you join will play you. A permanent move and he would also be gambling that they get promoted.
I don’t think we would be totally out of the frame.

The photo in the report capturing Glenn’s reaction as he hears Charlton are at the front of the queue of interested clubs....I-SAW-POUSO-PLAY said:https://www.herald.ie/sport/soccer/battle-is-on-for-whelan-38272289.html

Plus he knows Lee Bowyer... he knows that he'll be first team here at Charlton and wont be left on the benchRedrobo said:

With such a young squad he could be a fantastic signing. Great player and a good professional.I-SAW-POUSO-PLAY said:https://www.herald.ie/sport/soccer/battle-is-on-for-whelan-38272289.html

Whelan would be a very shrewd signing. 36 in January but has played 70 games in two seasons at Villa so he’s obviously still fit.1
-
Whelan was on 25k per week just three season ago at stoke, not sure he’ll go for the 4k a week we are currently offering.5

Make you right. He had a stunning U21 tournie, couple of goals, bossed it against Italy. All sorts of Serie A and Bundesliga sides now in the frame.J BLOCK said:Bielik is no way coming back, if he did go to the championship it would be a top 6 team, not us.
Personally I think we need more mobility at DM next season. Be interesting to see what LB is thinking1
