If Bowyer keeps getting results from our loans like this, top clubs will just start funneling their best young players to us hand over fist.

Playing cricket so I sent Charlton Aesthetic with my season ticket. Maybe I should do that every week
Does this mean we're going to get a match report off her?

Watched on the stream with really bad internet: saw three minutes, missed a minute, saw two minutes missed another minute, so I haven't seen out=r third goal yet! But what a great performance from the midfield, every one of them.

Need to think about when to play from the back and when not to as wecould have been punished on a few occasions.

And respect to Lyle Taylor, to play like that after a difficult week shows us what a great asset he is.

Reminds me of the time we scored late to go 2 in 2 under Luzon. It keeps me wary.

But at the same time this is Bowyer and we have a squad with the perfect blend of desire and talent.

There is certainly stuff that needs working on and we do look a little short in certain areas, but that’s why this is a championship side.

Get Hemed in and who knows. I’m buzzing

We had two draws in between those two wins, we didn't start with 2 straight wins. Also I'm more confident in Bowyer than I ever was Luzon

    I have no words.

So I'm off for a 5 knuckle shuffle.

  • Gives me huge satisfaction to see who we knocked from second.
Our last game of the season is Leeds away. Could be interesting!

Fantastic. Was up at 2, to catch a 6 o’clock flight to Menorca this morning and have spent half the afternoon snoring on a lounger by the pool. Am now off to the bar to celebrate.
  • Well that was fantastic to watch, such a higher quality division and the games look like they are going to be far more exciting, especially as we have a team to compete despite our budget

Pretty much every forward player who contributed at any point today looked great. Gallagher and Williams brilliant to watch and Leko really has something about him and was beating players for fun. I thought people were being a bit too confident about what Lyle would do in the Championship considering we've seen BWP etc not be able to make the step up but 2 in 2 is a brilliant start and he definitely has the ability.

There are going to be growing pains as we try to play out from the back like Bowyer wants us to do but we're going to score goals and create chances.

Just to work on is how are defence are on the ball, on another day a team like Leeds probably would have put the game to bed early in the second half but it can only be improved by continuing to do it. Lockyer if he bulks up a bit looks like he could be one heck of a player.

Pratley is going to contribute a lot this season but think with Kayal in we can be even better than today. Solly played better as the game went on but I think we'll continue to look for a free agent right back.

It's Bob peeters all over again 😉
Only had four points after two games with Peeters. :-)
We got 8 from the 1st 4 under Luzon didn't we?
  • Would have been happy with a point today so I'm absolutely delighted! Is Lee Bowyer the true successor to Alan Curbishley?

Watched the stream from Stoke's side. Gallagher's physicality is striking! Not terribly pleased with Phillips performance, as he seemed out of place a lot. Aneke is a big lad! The Stoke commentators were insulting as all get out. Kept going on about how the result should have been 3-1 Stoke. I think they need to realize it is they, not CAFC, who should worry about relegation.
  • Never expected that start in the Championship. Fabulous feeling. Off for a few beers in my local French bar to bathe in the glow of their success and wonder where this season will take us long serving supporters.

Bloody hell. Love this team and Bowyer, and practically everyone!
    When's did we get Jesus?

2 games, 2 Lyle goals, another from Purrington, and 2 goals from new players ... +3 goal difference ... just brilliant.

Bloody hell, I could get used to this
  • how good was that
  • I know this is only 8 days. But what a great 8 days on and off the pitch. It’s a long bumpy ride but I am so optimistic and agree with the poster who said doesn’t feel like last season finished and we are rolling on.

Once again, 8 days ago I think it was entirely plausible that we'd go down with a whimper, even with Bowyer in charge.

With the quality we've added you have now got to fancy us to give anyone a game.

You do all realise that once Roland is made aware of our start to the season, he will be dreaming of the Premier League!!!!

Why would you want to say something like that? At this moment?

    Chip pisser
    Sorry.
Rd's not all that bad, really, is he though?  Have we all been overreacting?
