Certainly a better way to advertise a club for sale.

A more realistic asking price for a Championship club?
But it doesn't have any real estate priced like Kensington.
  • 38m for Swansea.............but apparently 50m turned down for Derby.

At the number one fans group meeting last night AM implied that Steve Gallen is the go to person for just about everything now and that LDT is no longer around.
Must have missed this, is LDT no longer taking takeover talks and Gallen running things with prospective buyers?

Some confusion here. Steve Gallen himself is the guest at the AGM of the No 1 fans group on Nov 14.

But just joshing. More important will be to build on this info and see what the man himself is prepared to tell us.

I did start to wonder myself whether Bowyer had found a way to talk to RD so that RD trusts him more that he ever did any other coach. But when they made Gallen CEO, then I wondered whether it is actually Gallen who has found the way how to deal with RD. Something has definitely changed. Not enough, and I still fear January, but maybe SG is the new PV.

Number 1 fans group had Gallen 14 months ago before he got big time, he's so last year now  : - )

Seriously, he will be a great guest.

Don't think SG is officially CEO yet but imho is de facto.

AM said SG speaks direct to RD.

Ah, yes, he was simply made a "director" in a change at Companies House, is that right?

SG may have a significant role in the running of the club now, but he won't be dealing with any prospective bidders which presumably will still be down to LDT or RD directly, with maybe Murray as an initial intermediary.

    Correct.

Not de jure but de facto I think is the Latin.

SG: “Roland! Great news my friend, some rich bidders have met your asking price and want to close quickly! Please just sign here...”

RD: “Ah Shteve this is errrr very good. Let me just get my taped up biro. Errrr Shteve this says ‘a sum of one-five million’. This is not errrr my asking price errrr...”

SG: “Roland, they are the Arabic buyers. They just write right to left sometimes. Just sign on the dotted line and we will take care of it from there.”

RD: “Ah thank you Shteve again errrr for all of errrr your help.”

Murray isn’t at most away games. He wasn’t at Reading or Wigan, for example. I doubt if he was at Blackburn or Barnsley. He rarely turned up to L1 away games.

No disrespect to SG but what experience does he have to be chief executive? I’m sure he has the football side, but that is a fraction of the job. Kav didn’t really do football at all as chief exec at Charlton. Is he going to oversee finance, marketing, ticketing, commercial, comms, facilities, safety, HR, supplier contracts, relationship with CACT, with the council? I wouldn’t think so and I wouldn’t think we want him to do so, since it would distract him from the football, which appears to work very well.

Just passing on what AM said re Murray.

Agree on SGs lack of experience but that never seemed to stop the last CEO and she did ever so well....oh, hang on.

SG is a far more capable person but how far his role extends isn't clear. Maybe a question for the Trust AGM.

In any case I been told since LDT is still around.

Others at the meeting took the same inference from what was said but perhaps we were wrong and misunderstood. Maybe Driesen is the Belgian who is no longer around.

Well, I obviously wasn’t there so I’m speculating, but  I imagine Andy Marshall - like most football people in my experience - sees looking after that side as the job and the business side as an add-on.

He can't get tickets for all the away games as he doesn't have enough points
