To suggest the Aussies have been in talks for over two years and are still in talks beggars belief.
Roland is probably as sick of hearing about Aussies as we are.3 -
2018, The murder rate in London surpasses that of New York, The death of physicist Stephen Hawking & we finally get a decent manager.2

Well without his Aussie safety net RD might actually give more serious attention to any future bids5

@JamesSeed have you had it confirmed from GM they've dropped out? Feel like you said it was from a non-Aussie source. Guess I've foolishly still got a glimmer of hope until it's from the horses mouth0

Do they not listen to their advisors?
Roland saw them as a patsy as part of a fishing exhibition to draw out who he really wanted to sell to, hence the drip, drip, drip through various sources. Get the feeling that both you and @Airman Brown fall into that category.
Sorry.

I blame Lee Bowyer. If it wasn't for his pesky meddling then we'd still be a mid table League One club with no hope of getting near the Premiership so RD would have taken any sensible offer.
Now that we have not only gone & got promoted but are sitting a knats chuff away from automatic promotion to what Cloughie once said was "the land of milk & honey" RD smells the whiff of pounds notes & thinks he can get his money back and some.

So that's it then Aussies gone, Yanks gone, all previous suitors gone. Perhaps someone should let Jim white know, after-all hes been banging on for nearly a year now about "you heard it hear Charlton fans Roland Ducktape is definitely selling up".
This is not good news on any level, and those people who think RD will now invest in January are deluded, in fact I would say he's liable to cash-in even more now on our 'star' players so he can get money in to fund the clubs running costs. Anyone taking bets on LB leaving before next season starts (or earlier)?20 -
On the previous Friday, Jim White said we were being sold the Tuesday before Shrewsbury away last year.
Wtf happened there?!0 -
@Airman Brown, I guess as he knows you, perhaps you might want to inform JW of the latest info, he has been a mouthpiece for RD in the past, you never know he might try and get an 'exclusive' interview with him, although I guess RD will just spout more nonsense!!1

@Off_it yes I agree everything in Charltonland is better now, however I thinking more of January 2020. Currently RD continues to say he wants to sell and is no longer interested in owning us, yet he wont negotiate, it seems, despite his utterances directly or through LDT.
My concern is he could very quickly undo the current Charltonland feeling, by selling players to be able to pay running costs and still not offering LB a decent lengthy contract, as his excuse has been, up to now, he has buyers for the club and didn't want to tie their hands by offering a longer contract.
I'm all for keeping the current Charltonland vibe, but RD can quickly ruin it by the actions I've mentioned above. If however RD has changed his MO, and decides he wants to now fully invest in the club and LB in attempting over the next season or so to get us to the PL then good for him, but i fear without new owners we will be starting afresh every season. However I do take your point fully, but it would be good to hear what his intentions now are.1 -
You will never know his intentions until they happen!0
