You don’t spend £60 million on a club unless you’ve got serious ambitious to get them into the Premiership. Strap yourselves in folks. It’s going to be one hell of a ride*

The owner is worth £15billion
The people involved seem good, honest and trustworthy people.
Maybe we have just struck gold!
Stability and competitive squad are what we want

Beeb: 'Tahnoon Nimer and Jonathan Heller - chairman and CEO of Abu Dhabi Business Development - join as directors, with Matt Southall becoming club chairman'. Matt Southall seems to be the fella who put the deal together. Here he is, and he looks happy!

No never thought that, his transfer dealings at SL were already known, no one knew what would happen but there was concern right from the start.msomerton said:before we all get to excited lets wait and see if the EFL agree, and then what type of owners they are. Many people thought it was great when Douchlet bought back in the day with all his money, going on about it was the best thing to happen in years.
Time will tell.5 -
I think we should keep our ambitions as modest as possible. But, I have to say, it will be nice, finally to compete with clubs that, for some reason, have an innate belief that they're "better" than us.
So, while it's important not to get ahead of ourselves, there's a team we all know that play in red and blue stripes, that are so full of themselves, their fans don't even acknowledge openly that they have a rivalry with us. And it will be great to put them back in their box and re-establish Charlton's superiority over them.
I'm talking to you, Barcelona.

Is anyone on here who in the past has criticised Man City's oil money, or the questionable human rights record in the UAE etc etc that bothered now this is happening?
Nope, didn't think so!
Bring it on. I expect at least a 15m outlay on new signings in January.8 -
Can't wait 'til we have a thread complaining about the new season ticket prices for next season.2 -
