Been strangely lost for words since my niece pinged me the news this morning (and I thought she's been faked, as i had been on CL 10 mins earlier). Loads of people have said it all in so many great ways.
So instead I wrote back to the guy from Rapid Bucharest. At the end I mentioned why 30 years on we are celebrating all over again. And being the presumptious sod I am, I left him with this final message from all of us:

He spent about half an hour patiently coaching him, which when you think about the hectic schedule he has, and the weighty news announcement this morning, that is quite special. Lee couldn't be more relaxed, As you probably know, we have one very special gaffer there.
Steve Avery also spent a lot of time chatting to him and encouraging.

FFP. You can only lose so much and regardless of the money our new owners have, they can't spend it like we would want them to. Toney might well cost £8-10M. And, he is 7 years younger than Taylor. If I could only afford one, I want the one who might still be putting it in the back of the net in 2025. Would actually be more interested now is getting Grant back!Dazzler21 said:

They however might have recognised Taylor's all round contribution on and off the pitch, and concluded that his asset value is measured in more than just goals scored. They may also be hearing from inside the club that Bonne might just be the real deal with the right nurturing. Taylor is the right guy to do that. he has done that for Grant, and for Igor. A young bloke from the lower divisions anxious to justify his price tag won't do that.NapaAddick said:
