  • So that's why Guy left...  you absolute hound dog!
I'm not that kind of Guy @soapy_jones
  • We should start the Gloucestershire branch

I'd pop along to that too as I'm near Gloucester  :)
  • Going into an exam tomorrow, approx 4 hours with no contact to the outside world, praying for some good news when I finish about 5pm.
Sorry. 'Crackerjack!' won't be back until next year.

Transport links poor.....???  The ground is less than 5 mins from the bloody railway station that takes you into the centre of London in 10 mins ffs.!!  Try going on Saturday to Middlesborough & see how close their stadium is to transport links & the city centre. Or Swansea/Derby/Leicester. All new grounds built away from the city centre & main transport links. NO thanks. Prefer our ground just where it is. May be a bugger to park but its historic.
Leicester is in the city centre with zero transport problems.

The Valley was always generally stated by other than our own supporters as not good with transport link because there was no Tube Line.    This was also at the time when roads like the A2 were slow and still needed improving.
  • One of my daughters is off on an expedition to Nepal, she just landed for a stop over in Abu Dhabi.  If I had known I would have got her a top printed with "All of Charlton Athletic thanks you for saving us."
  • Scoham said:
EFL interviews include them speaking to Roland.

Matt Southall tried to buy us as part of a consortium in 2010.

Cawley confirms ESI want to sign Cullen permanently.

Does anyone remember this consortium in 2010?
  • And some people bleat about the Aussie bid dragging on for two years.

Assume this was the Jonathan Sainsbury bid in 2010 that also involved Lee Amis

Interview with Duchatelet?  "Huh 1.5%, huh, none of it's my fault"

    Good news about Cullen

Was wondering if it was the Sainsbury bid

Yeah. Ask the most unfit and improper person you ever previously interviewed for his take on it!

    Oh dear.
  • I wonder why the EFL speak to the outgoing owner?

So Rolly, is this guy who has made good all the money you lost OK?
  • I wonder why the EFL speak to the outgoing owner?
Says it’s just part of the process.
  • He will simply say that the EFL are fools for not buying the club off him and that they will regret it
  • I wonder why the EFL speak to the outgoing owner?
I think it’s just standard procedure. He will want the sale done quickly so he can afford some new shoes and visit to the hygienist.

They just need to double check his exit strategy.

It's not the time taken, as much as the scarves taken

Sebastian Sainsbury was the main man wasn't he?

Never a fan of Crackerjack. HOW was my TV opiate.
  • Anyone know how long the EFL took to approve and sign off on Roly's takeover? It all seemed to be very quick from what i remember.

    Not long enough!

Earlier on in the thread someone said that RD taking over the club was announced Friday 27th Dec, he then was the owner Friday Jan 3rd, so that was 7 days from the announcement. So it could be today I suppose if it follows the same pattern?
