Interesting that Southall owns more than 25% of the shares (but less than 50%) in ESI.

    How you know that?.
It's on Companies House.   No change yet on the ownership of Baton.

Would HE give him a % of share holding if he was "just an employee"?
    Baton own The Valley?

Has it been confirmed ESI have bought the lot?
Baton own the football club and the property.  Have done since the PLC was wound up.  Its what both RD and the spivs owned.

Obviously it will take some time to filter through, but I would be shocked if they have bought anything other than all of Baton.
  • I must admit I gave up on reading grapevines posts a few months back.
i just haven’t the patience or memory to take it all in
he needs to do a precis version for us cick thunts

No time for a honeymoon for ESI as we has until the end of the month to have a squad that can garner enough points to keep us in this division. I personally think it will be more difficult than many imagine with new owners as this is a injury hit squad and with Taylor and Bonne out I can't see where the next goal is coming from unless two strikers of proven Championship quality come in this window. We are the Bournemouth of the Championship and it's difficult to stop the rot when you get more injuries every game.

I must say I am rather pleased.

Just seen Grapevine's latest post guys, can someone sum it up for me?
Bollocks!   I had set aside the morning, the Times supplement, a Thesaurus and a good dump for his next post as well.

Apart from last night's heroes of Swansea, real fans will get down the Valley Sunday, and doing that show what a prick Keohane is to close the East Stand.
    New year/decade/era.
    Be there.

He's at fault for many things but is closing the east stand for a game where the crowd will probably be no more than 6-7k really an issue?

We had lower crowds when the East was open. The Barnet replay for example.
  • Poor lad is probably more hungover than the rest of us celebrating that news

People better get buying then because there's still about 2,600 spaces left in the Lower Covered End and about 1,800 in the Lower West.

    Rumour?
  • Seriously though, will the Aussies now turn their attention to a club that suits their pockets more?

.... Ah nah, I'm not bothered really.

Hopefully they turn their attention to another crappy owned club like Coventry or Macclesfield!!

He's basically had to go into work every day seeing the effects of his boss fudging the love of his life... every day... Including weekends...

Proper Cuck stuff that he kept going back to watch it. Poor lad must be traumatised.

You honestly think RD will be anyone in England never mind Charlton in person?

    * Excellency

One must try to get these things right.

Your Excellency is a courtesy title used when addressing foreign officials including high foreign national officials such as president and cabinet minister, and foreign diplomats with the rank of ambassador and accredited minister.

Highness (abbreviation HH, oral address Your Highness) is a formal style used to address (in second person) or refer to (in third person) certain members of a reigning or formerly reigning dynasty. It is typically used with a possessive adjective: "His Highness", "Her Highness" (HH), "Their Highnesses", etc.

A couple of years ago I decided to stop posting on here for my own sanity until the rat sold.... I was spending far too much time photoshopping Katrien and Roland (although I’m very proud that my Pinocchio piece was used by others throughout the protests) and getting angry with things that felt helplessly out of my control.

I thought it would be a few months away from posting before the sale went through, and I’d be back.

Well, here we are in the next decade and he’s finally gone. I broke my boycott at The Valley last season as I realised that Roland was stealing father/son memories from me, as my boys were 13 and 15 when we started staying away and were growing into young men. I’m so glad that I did because despite feeling uneasy about doing it I got to experience so many highs and created so many memories that I wouldn’t otherwise have been able to. (for those that kept boycotting, I have nothing but respect)

When the confirmation came through yesterday I was overcome with emotion, thinking about relatives who didn’t live long enough to see the end of the regime, the efforts of so many people who helped get him out (all of the groups and individuals, it’s overwhelming how we mobilised as a fan base), emotional about opportunities missed in the past, how much I love this club and everything about it, but most importantly emotional because my fears and concerns for the future of the club have transformed into hope and belief.

I won’t be at The Valley on Sunday due to recovering from bronchitis, but I can’t wait until next week and the biggest party atmosphere since we returned home in 1992. Is a full house possible?

My self imposed CL lurking mode is now over. Good riddance to the stench of the rat and his minions... here’s to the future and what could be one of the most exciting decades in our history.
Glad you're back mate. Also glad we have our great club back.
