5 years - that's a statement of intent and vote of confidence ... owner are making the big calls early and clearly showing fans some emotional attachment ... it shows a level of stability they are looking for ... this is a 180* turn from the RD era. Hope the can do the same for LB's team and players. I see Oxford are pulling in loanees in numbers. Need quality rather than quantity but both would be acceptable.0

Strength of a business is not just individual skills of key components, but how they complement one another as a whole.Like the mix of
- a young manager whose proved he has what it takes to create a squad that runs through walls for him,
- a Chairman who respects his management and knows the dark arts of negotiating between players, agents and clubs, and negotiating will be 90%!of his job.
- a head of recruitment who’s proved he can sniff out undeveloped potential and respected within the football community.
- an owner with both money and ambition
Matt may be inexperienced in the role of club chairman but that is no bad thing. He will not have a pre-conceived ideology and will be fine as long as he is accepts he is learning on the job and able to keep the owners interests and the clubs interests aligned - something he seems to understand.18 -

I like the way Peterborough’s chairman goes about his business, maybe he is too open and honest, but Southall can lean on him at times and that can also only be a good thing.

Former #cafc director loans have not been repaid and they have not be told by ESI what is happening, despite pre-December discussions. Still waiting for takeover to be posted on Companies House to understand structure of deal without training ground freehold.3 -

We dont yet have the full picture about the ownership. The fact that the ex directors loans still exist is an interesting piece of the puzzle. I am not sure yet what the full picture is yet but it will be useful to know when it does come out.21 -
There does seem to be a bit of an undercurrent of dislike of this mob in some quarters, because they haven't done any of about 200 very important things, after just a few working days into ownership7

To the people getting on Rick Everitt's back - would you rather not know any of this information? Just because they are the new owners, doesn't mean that no questions should be asked. What he posted wasn't positive or negative, it's just a fact. Don't shoot the messenger as they say.

He confirms that ESI now own Charlton Athletic Football Club Limited and have a “legal obligation” within the next six months to complete the purchase of Charlton Athletic Holdings Limited, where the freehold of both the training ground and The Valley sit as assets.'
so don't own The Valley or Training Ground...… yet.

According to this interview ESI haven't yet bought the training ground or the Valley.
That might explain why the directors loans, which are secured on the Valley, haven't been paid yet.
Whether people are worried about ESI not yet owning the Valley and Sparrows Lane is another matter but this interview does seem to contradict what was said earlier by ESI that they had bought the Valley but not yet SL.
The interview also proves that Matt reads this thread as he used a house buying analogy.5 -
