    referring to Lyle Taylor ?

well I doubt we will be in league One under BOWSΒ
Or ESI and yes Brentford are a great team and we beat them 1-0 with a strong squad, so why can we not do that again next season ?
we too could be in the premiership in 2 years.

We are a bigger club then some Prem teams but you wouldn’t expect our players to turn them down would you?Β

Beating Brentford was a long time ago now and a lots happened since. They have a decent shot at being a Prem club next year, they are a reasonably attractive proposition for a lot of Champ players.Β
I mean you have completely missed the point here bud. Let's just agree to disagreeΒ  :).Β

In fact, I have gone on record on this very forum saying that I believe we will still finish top half of the championship.Β
I can almost guarantee you, we will not finish top half this season.
It would require 17 games of Champions results (better than WBA & Leeds so far).

Did not mean to upset you,Β

I have Charlton in my Blood, my Grandfather helped to build the Valley in 1919, and my son is a 4th generation fan and season ticket holder with me.

We have a great Manager and the potential of far greater things, and I doubt Brentford will pay more for Lyle Taylor’s services now BOW is here on a New contract.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I am Certain if I am wrong someone on this platformΒ

And yes we could finish in 11th place which is the top half of the table the maths is very simple.

Indeed it is, the Math proves it is highly unlikely we finish in the top 12. I don’t think anyone is arguing it’s not mathematically possible though.Β

We are 9 points off 12, and 12 points off 10th. I believe we could realistically overhaul that points margin. 3/4 win swing over 17 games is not beyond the realms of possibility at all.Β

65 points would get you top half.
    We have 30 from 29.
We need 35 from 17, more than or roughly 2 points per game.
WBA & Leeds haven't been able to achieve 2 points per game.
So yes we can reach top half if we get Champions results for the next 17 games.

Why 65 points? It's been 60, 60, 62, 60, 64 last 5 seasons for 12th. Either way it's certainly a tough task. I just believe if we stay injury free, keep Lyle Taylor, and maybe bring in a couple of decent signings we have every chance of going on a good run.Β

Fair enough. Let's say we need 60.
So we need 30 from 17, which currently is better than the 3rd & 4th Place teams.

    Once or twiceΒ
  • Hard to see Parrott coming to Charlton. Would expect quite a few clubs being in for him.
