Think thats what I'm curious about, are we linked with both because we need one strikerbillysboots said:ForeverAddickted said:

Not sure 3 forwards on loan is ideal.ForeverAddickted said:I guess another Striker through the door will see Leko replaced (as it was mentioned the other day that Bowyer doesnt see Green as that replacement) so means we've only currently got Hemed and Taylor available, get Idah through the door and we've got Leko replaced - Get Parrott through the door and we can afford to send Davison out on loan
I think it would be better to get to the summer and then sign a couple of Strikers on a perm deal
Agreed -I think Parrott and Idah though will be an either/or
Are we linked with both because we're aiming to bring both in0 -
No chance.
Bowyer once said that he’s the only striker he’s ever come across that isn’t fussed with ever scoring goals. Both Robinson and Bowyer called him one of a kind. No way can I ever see him coming back whilst Bow’s here.

Tony Watt. Quality baller, awful athlete and a terrible team mate.
3 in 7 and still Sofia sent him back. Got to be pissing the other players off.
I always will remember him and JBG nearly coming to blows at a home game. Now Johann always seemed pretty mild-mannered so what the feck was Watt up to.4 -
Or Jackson for that matter if he were to become Manager after Lee...Sage said:No chance.

Can’t imagine Tony and Lyle getting on well after Tony called out Lyle on twitter.0
-
Based on his recent form, Watt is nowhere near the level we currently need.
7 goals in his last 53 league appearances. No thanks. I'd rather play Davison.12 -

Hedging our bets i would have thought, probably need a few irons in the fire at the same time in order to land one. I would have thought that any club sending a youngster out on loan would want him playing all of the time , so unless we are unloading Taylor we will have potentially have Loanee , Taylor, Bonne, Green ,Hemed available when fit

Interesting on Sky Sports
They're claiming that Burnley may keep Wells with Vydra being the man to go out on loan if that were to happen...
They do say a few clubs are interested though
Just thought I'd share what with Vydra being mentioned a few times on here3 -
We must be desperate for signings if we speculate Tony Watt could be coming back here.
No way would Bowyer & Jacko risk the 'togetherness' of the squad and the work ethic of the team.
2 -
Now Leeds are sorted you would imagine Bristol City may be the destination for Wells or Vydra1
-
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Vydra if Wells stays at Burnley, I’d hope we’re ready on the phone for that one.1

I remember Watt and Johann having a cuddle on the ground but I thought they fell out at Sparrows lane ?calydon_road said:Tony Watt. Quality baller, awful athlete and a terrible team mate.

I always will remember him and JBG nearly coming to blows at a home game. Now Johann always seemed pretty mild-mannered so what the feck was Watt up to.
Towards the end of Tony Watt's stay at Cafc he had a blazing row with Karlan Grant at a home match.
Tony Watt and Cafc are history.
TW is the complete opposite to the players that Lee likes to work with. He wants players to listen to him and the coaches.
Even Taylor was told his work rate wasn't good enough after his first 3 matches by Lee Bowyer. That has never been questioned since by the Gaffer7 -
3 in 17, not 7. And 2 in a cup match against some lower league farmers.calydon_road said:Tony Watt. Quality baller, awful athlete and a terrible team mate.

Don't be daft. Would you compare Lille and Lens to Dover and Eastleigh? Sedan are a decent sized club. Not much different to us at the moment.PopIcon said:
I feel bad for a player who's best part of his career is 66 matches across six seasons. Mind you he spent a season on loan at Club Sportif Sedan Ardennes, "who?" I hear you all say. Best described as the French equivalent of Coggeshall Town.DOUCHER said:he's played for st.etienne for the best part of his career, a well established french club (who would be the equivalent of most championship and some prem clubs i would have thought) and played in European competition so i'm not sure why people think his cv is unimpressive - its whether he has the know how and grit for the championship battle he;s gonna be in that concerns me more but 100% faith in bowyer and gallen.2 -

What is it with some posters who always want to go backwards. Want to sign Watt, Cousins & Marshall. Why not get Magennis & Josh Parker back as well and really go for it....soapboxsam said:

I think Davison will improve though not ready yet, Watt will never be ready.2 -

I’ve been confident we’d get quite a few over the line all window.
I’ll admit even I’m starting to get a bit nervous now. Need at least 3 by Friday and not a rumour in sight.0 -
It’s goals that will keep us up! Striker badly needed!1
-
With Cawley posting that article, if we lose Taylor this close to the close and don't find an adequate replacement it's a disgrace7
-
No rumours of ESI and the takeover before it was announced. This lot keep their business cards close to their chest, have faith.Laddick01 said:I’ve been confident we’d get quite a few over the line all window.

Doesnt surprise me though - Clubs will know that Taylor is out of contract in the summer so are going to test our resolve to keep hold of him as they'll know its our last opportunity to get a transfer fee for himBraziliance said:With Cawley posting that article, if we lose Taylor this close to the close and don't find an adequate replacement it's a disgrace
Will we accept a bid without something else lined up - No I dont think we would under ESI... Agreed though it would be worrying if he went without anyone lined up and would be my first concern of the new ownership
Friday is gonna be a tough day for a lot of people on here / twitter0 -
Nothing new in Cawleys interview. Literally "someone will probably make an offer for Lyle before the end of the window" well duh. and "ESI have said they will listen to offers" well yeah they said that weeks ago. They have also said he is our player till the end of the season unless a silly offer comes in.6
-
I'm just saying if, used to this happening at Charlton now, common theme to lose our best player in January0
-
Pretty sure Matty said we will have Lyle until the end of the season, I will trust him with that.
