Still cant believe we spent no money either and it was just loans
    Loans aren't free.

If you want some light relief, read the replies to the Birmingham tweet about Davis joining us
  • What happened to Docherty ?
Up in the air still, heard rumours he was going Hibs but nothing confirmed yet
    Going TO Hibs.......FFS!!!
Wants to stay in the EU.

I'm not convinced that any of us know what any of threse 4 signings are capable of with the possible exception of McGeady, even less when they play together and in a team with the likes of Taylor and Williams, Field and Cullen.

I look forward to some good partnerships forming there.

We aren't going to get promoted this season but now I really don't think we are going to be relegated and we could be in for some entertaining football.

    And that will do me.
David Davis has played going on for 200 Championship games for Birmingham since 2014 and has captained the side at times. I think we know a bit about him
  • I'm sure they're all ok signings but all that Twitter hype from Southall for 3 loan signings.

    Bit OTT

Decent signing's got a big squad now. I wonder if Matt's super duper phone is paid for outright or just a loan.
  • Should point out Davies is a good signing and had we signed him and a striker I would have been delighted.

My only frustration is that we haven't signed the striker I feel we really need to make sure we dont go down

Agreed, Davis is a smart move, especially from a direct rival

But we do need another striker. We made bids earlier in the window for Gnanduillet, and that wasn't as a replacement for Lyle, so to bring in nobody is strange

I'm surprised everyone is certain that we don't have a deal sheet in play?

    Never mind

This is just a 'keep us up' window.

The rebuild will happen in the summer.

    Just going by Cawley's tweets...

Also Southall has tweeted thanking the Management team for their efforts so definitely sounds like we're done

Loans or permanent signings , it doesn't matter in the short term. Loan signings are not free , and we have got quality players in. MS has done a good job in my opinion. I back LB and if he's happy I'm happy

Judging by Birmingham fans reactions David Davis may be a very good signing.
Aiden McGeady was brilliant when we held Sunderland to a draw at the Valley last season.
Matt Smith I know nothing about, but he’s from Man City so is unlikely to be without merit.
    André Green is decent.
And we kept Lyle Taylor. That was essential.

I’m hopeful that this will turn out to have been a very useful window. But only time will tell.

My glass, despite have seen much use this evening, is still half full.
Good night, see you at the Valley tomorrow. 👍

I am pretty happy all in all.

Hopefully push on now and hopefully summer recruitment planning can't start now

I'll get pelters for this but I'm not having it, something doesn't sit right with me with Southall. It's just my view but I think he needs work big time on his social media.

I understand that Davis is a very decent loan signing, McGeady could be lethal and the City kid could be another gem. But ultimately the bloke prick teased a whole fan base for over a day and made out like there would be something bigger. 3 loan signings of that quality isn't 'super duper' or whatever term is was he used.

Each to their own and I appreciate it's better than Roland and I'm not sitting here saying I want change but I can't help but speak my mind. I'm not a fan so far.

    Tin had at the ready
     I know what you mean.

I'll put it down to him being a bit green at all this, but I do have some concerns.

I personally think that Southall has come across as a bit of a plum on social media. Shame really as I was looking forward to bringing in a decent striker. Talked the talk, but in my opinion has failed to walk the walk.

Good luck to the loan signings.

Just a shame that the loans will result in another summer of rebuilding

On the flip note, players will be available for more reasonable prices - More players will be available too what with teams having longer to scout replacements rather than hoping for a domino effect

Get a good nights sleep Stevie Gallen... Prep for the summer starts tomorrow I bet!!
  • Not easy to get players in january,

So to get to proven experienced players in Mcgeady and Davis is excellent business

bcfc fans fuming about davis in particular,

A bit light up top but keeping lyle is priceless

    So are we done tonight?

Taylor can still sign for Rangers in the next 50 minutes

    Sam, behave yourself.

What a load of old shite. Anyone happy with today is deluded . We’ve gone from an owner who doesn’t say anything and don’t attend games to have a Chief executive who has spouted absolutely nonsense on Twitter and in the media and not backed it up
    Do get a grip.

There must have been quite a big signing that just didn't come off, surely? 3 loanees when we already have 3 and no money being spent doesn't seem like the endgame MS had planned
  • So out of our current midfield we could only have 2 of them still here in summer if Williams doesn’t sign a new deal. Shambles.

I pray to god Lockyer stays fit.

a long run of games with Pearce and Sarr holding the fort could be curtains.
Oshilaja and Pratley can fill that roll.

I think the big unanswered question on everyone’s lips is how was the poolside African bongo band @DOUCHER ?

Don't worry, Matt has promised to spend £77.5 million in the next window.

Surely we knew it was gonna be a total rebuild on the summer if we stay up?

Thats my other thought, was there someone else yet being so late the selling club just refused to budge because it would have screwed them over too
