True although successful managers and many fans didn’t deem him good enough for a long time until bowyer had the sense to play him up front . Don’t forget Robinson preferred big JoshCallumcafc said:Talk of a 20m fee from Wolves to bring him in.Another piece of Roland genius getting about 2 million from Grant and Aribo when if they were on proper contracts, we’d be getting at least 10 times that just 6-12 months later.0 -
Do we get any dosh if he is sold on? If so, how much if he is sold for 20m.?0
-
And Konsa, sold for £2m (I think?) and sold for about £12m.Callumcafc said:Talk of a 20m fee from Wolves to bring him in.Another piece of Roland genius getting about 2 million from Grant and Aribo when if they were on proper contracts, we’d be getting at least 10 times that just 6-12 months later.1 -
We were unlucky with Karlan, who'd been bang average until that Crawley loan spell, then got arrested in the summer when in normal circumstances we might have offered him a deal.Callumcafc said:Talk of a 20m fee from Wolves to bring him in.Another piece of Roland genius getting about 2 million from Grant and Aribo when if they were on proper contracts, we’d be getting at least 10 times that just 6-12 months later.
Aribo was stupidity though
Of course players do sometimes improve when they move clubs. Grant and Konsa both improved playing at a higher level with better players, while the same has happened to the likes of Bonne and Davison here.4 -
Lookman is the only player we got a decent fee for. JBG, Pope, Lonsa, KAG, Aribo, Konsa, Stephens, Yann all sold for peanuts and then went on to help their sides in the PL0

I'd forgotten about Lonsa.....BigRedEvil said:Lookman is the only player we got a decent fee for. JBG, Pope, Lonsa, KAG, Aribo, Konsa, Stephens, Yann all sold for peanuts and then went on to help their sides in the PL2 -
Am i right in thinking Pope left for nothing with no sell on?0
-
I'm hoping he goes too late in the window for Hudds to get in a decent replacement(s).
They can go down with Luton & Wigan

Really hate some of our fans.
When he was our player he was fantastic and everyone loved him, now he has scored against us all I can see on twitter are Charlton fans calling him a rapist.
I dont care if he left us and scored, I dont even care that he celebrated considering how many boos he got at The Valley.
But to start mentioning his personal life is just embarrassing, what when he was a Charlton player he was innocent but now he has lef he is guilty
Its pathetic29 -

What I found amusing today was the fact that our fans were moaning about a tweet from the club talking about taming the Terrierspaulie8290 said:Really hate some of our fans.

Am sorry but the comments Grant received around the reverse fixture I bet the bloke could have had a week off from training
He needed absolutely no motivation today to score a couple of goals because the desire to shut us up would have seen him through the game
So if anyone on here was sending those messages to him then well done!!6 -
The fella has no class. Irrespective of any of our knuckle scraping brigade that mention personal stuff on social media. He was with our club from aged 12.......respect the club. Disregard the Neanderthal brigade. Respect the club that made you.....and the fans that (mostly) appreciated what you did. Absolute tool.7

Why should he show respect when he hasnt been respected.RedRedRoosta said:The fella has no class. Irrespective of any of our knuckle scraping brigade that mention personal stuff on social media. He gets constantly abused by Charlton fans on social media, he was abused throughout the whole game at The Valley.
You say disregard the neanderthal brigade as far as he is concerned that is majority of the fans atm because thats how it comes across with the abusr he receives10 -
Bauer was respected by the fans and respected the fans back
Grant has been disrespected by fans why shouldn't he give the same back9 -
I’m sorry the guys a c*nt6

Have I missed something? Didn't he just score a goal for his team and make a shushing gesture to those hurling abuse at him? Fair play.RedRedRoosta said:The fella has no class. Good old South London saying - don’t give it if you can’t take it. Some of our fans need to have emotional maturity to handle someone putting their finger to the their lips when they score after receiving dogs abuse.27

Well, I don't see it that way at all. We all know every club has a minority of tools and you, and Karlan do, too. Having the class and common sense to acknowledge most sensible people aren't out to do anything other than be passionate and support their club isn't hard. Karlan was out of order. I'm sure Karlan knows that and I'm also sure that any sensible fans there would know that it was directed at the muppets who somehow thought that giving him abuse would do anything other than spur him on to score two goals against us.RedRedRoosta said:

One greedy prick did he give a fuck when he left for near fuck all no he didn’t10

Grown men upset because a man made a shush gesture

To be fair our fans were singing the Craig David song loud and clear at the start of last season.0
-
The guys a wrong un, massive scum bag indeed.2
-
Nor should he have, we failed to offer him a contract a year before his contract ran out, we left ourselves exposed. If we had offered him a half decent contract in July 2018 we would have got our pound if fleshcazo said:One greedy prick did he give a fuck when he left for near fuck all no he didn’t5 -
I’d go along with that.robroy said:I’m sorry the guys a c*nt0 -

In my opinion, anyone who leaves in January (unless forced out) is a cunt.
Like you wouldn't move company if offered over double your money and the chance to work in the top tier of your organization7 -
Could also argue that he wouldnt have left had Roland not gone chasing the moneypaulie8290 said:
