I ordered some Arments pie and mash online plus a disgusting veggie version for the perverted vegans in my family.  Vegan pies don't travel well, serves em right..

@Curb_It "That is a tweet from 18 October.  Had to check that then."

Oh, my apologies. I hadn't noticed that!

Having said that, it does open at 10am every Sunday, apparently.

The old nuns head is winning by miles with the swan a decent but currently distant second

I was in the Lord Clyde a couple of weeks ago. It’s always been my favourite pub in The Borough.
The Roebuck has also come on leaps and bounds since I used to use it in the early 90’s.
  • The Waterman's would have won by a mile.

There was another serial killer reputed to have drunk in the Watermans. Who can enlighten us?

    Was that Robert Napper?
  • No, but he used to work with my sister-in-law. She used to say he was a right weirdo all the time and she would often catch him staring at her.

Tootenskamen were playing at the end of the month.

This is bad news.  Not as bad as the other news obviously oh everything is just shit!

    Same with April. Very odd.

Clinging to the hope that someone has their wired crossed. Love the Swan and definitely didn't need this added news today of all days...

Just rang the Pelton - they've confirmed the Swan has closed.

It's not looking too good inside either

That's a surprise and a pity.  Geoff really turned the place around: was certainly thriving on match days.  Decent range of beer and real cider, too.

Gutted about this. My local and pre match haunt with some great beer. Guess it's the bugle from now on  :disappointed:

    Gutted.

The museum donations were superb and really helped make it the perfect match day venue. Assume all the items have been returned @Henry Irving? I wonder if they can be given to the Bugle or another pub to recreate the CAFC feel...

Another matchday pub gone. Fear for the others if we slip back into League One!

The museum donations weren't on the walls when I had a peek through the windows. Hopefully they are safely in storage.
