Has anyone been listening along with Tim Burgess’ Listening Parties? Tim has pulled together some great albums and the artists, special guests to live tweet their own stories about each track on the album. Listeners tune in a just start play on the hour, either playing the album or streaming it.
Some great insight into what the artists, designers, Tim himself think of each track.
www.timstwitterlisteningparty.com has all the ones done so far and the schedule for the next few weeks. Have loved learning more about so many of my favourite albums and finding new stuff I hadn’t picked up on before. Simple concept, but brilliantly pulled together by Tim.

Can't recommend enough the work of Fleetmac Wood.
Remixes and mixes of most of the Fleetwood Mac catalogue. Some of them are truly astounding.

Litanies by Jehan Alain.
Alain, working as a motorcycle dispatch rider for the French Army, was shot by the Nazis at Saumur in June 1940. He was 29 years old.
This splendid, inventive piece is played by his sister, Marie-Claire.
In memory of Jehan, and all who lost their lives opposing the Nazis.
