Ah man. Why has misinformation become so frequent and consistent lately? First Bowyer wanted a contract at the end of the window, then he wanted it ASAP. We owned it lock stock, now we need to complete the training ground/Valley IIRC. Maybe he'll be on the bench and maybe, he's a 10 minutes at the end sub - but reckon Bowyer wants to be really sure of his fitness before risking him.
He's desperately needed for 16 other games this season.

Field will be on the bench, don’t think there’s much doubt there. I’m sure Bows would like to start him because if we want to match Barnsley’s diamond it means picking one of the kids in Gallagher’s former spot. I suspect that’s why he’s bemoaning him not being ready.2

We do need Field to be ready when Pratley is suspended, so no need to take unnecessary risks with him on Saturday
I agree that the contradictory messages are rather frustrating1 -
It could be just LB being cautious, will not be able to play all the players coming back from injury as most of them will not be able to play for too long and you can only have so many part fit players on the bench1

Lewis Page needs his luck to turn, get himself fit and back playing again ..... I'm sure we're all with him with that.
Persistant injury is a bugger, as anybody who has played competitively at any level will know. For a professional, it doesn't bear thinking about.
