For a fella so scared of jeopardizing his one shot at the big time, training in a park with a bunch of YouTubers and then posting it on ‘Insta’ as a boast seems incredibly small time.
  • The bloke is an attention-seeking moron, and releasing this stupid video on the day of a game just sums him up. Funny how he's more than happy to be paid for 3 months with no training/games whilst the club is struggling to make ends meet with no income, didn't hear a peep out of him about that, yet all of a sudden he's very vocal when there's actual games to play.

Although have to say some of the racist abuse he's getting on Instagram from supposed Charlton fans is disgusting and makes me embarrassed to be an Addick.

They play at the old Flamingo Park on the A20 near the golf range
Isn't that now going to be Cray Wanderer's new stadium
According to the hoarding outside, yes

Think it’s been removed from the websites.

If the Barnsley home game is anything to go by, we know that Taylor thrives off football fans getting riled up and reacting to what he does.

It won't happen, but I imagine if you really want to hit him and his ego, just completely forget he even exists.

To be fair, he did alright last time he was there

  • Lyle training with SE Dons.
Did he only have the one shot when he was training ? Fcking impressive if he did though it sounded (to me) like he might scuffed the ground when he kicked the ball. He might need to work on that to avoid an injury.

Every time he posts something on SM he goes down just that little bit more in my estimation.

The bloke is a narcissist. It's all about him

  • First team profiles on the cafc site probably isn’t going to help find a big money contract as a 30 year old  if he hasn’t already got one as it says he’s only got 3 goals and made 4 starts. Surely that can’t be right, or is it ?

    Totally agree.

Used to have a few bits of signed memorabilia of him scattered about the house. It’s now Safely in room 101.

No time for him now whatsoever.

From the press conference, Lyle came on on Tuesday to say his goodbyes...
Reported in at least one of the Wednesday tabloids, apparently: Taylor was "applauded out" by his former team-mates.

Hmm.  I'm glad that we fans take a rather different view of it all.
If true, then perhaps it shows that the players, understanding his position, are able to take a mature, detached view on his decision.
The best post on this thread.

In life we should try and understand another view even if you don't agree with it.

No problem with that at all.......if he had at least stuck to his contract. He hasn't & therefore any discussion around different points of view end there.

Self centred, egotistic, narcissist, don't wish him any harm, but a complete *wat in my humble opinion, type of character who disapears when things get tough and not going his way. Better off without him.

I am surprised that finances in Scottish football generally especially post Covid allow a (relatively) big money offer to be made and committed to.

I’d have expected a more secure  offer to be from the Championship where TV money is greater.

Curious to see where he does end up / which club is willing to splash the cash when no one knows what matchday revenue will be for a little while.

(apologies to the jocks on here I don’t mean it just added for dramatic affect)

A championship club would probably want a proven championship goal scorer if they were to commit to decent money. Lyle missed a chunk of the season through injury, probably hasn’t scored that many goals in the championship from open play or set pieces other than penalties (anybody know the number ?) and hasn’t exactly shown that a contract means that much by not playing to the end of it. Would you splash the cash on him ?

He’ll be a good fit up in Scotland where he can be a flat track bully and massage his ego scoring against a bunch of league 2 standard teams.

From 29th he can get his dream move - any more rumours of where the snakey cnut is heading. I saw over the weekend he was playing golf with Charlton’s physio - that would me up a little.

Think his contract with CAFC officially expires today? I'd expect we'd find out about his new club this week if he had the big move lined up as claimed.
