Whooooosh i'm afraid mate. In fairness Smith hasn't played much but when I've seen him he's looked totally out of his depth. They only thing i recall is him coming on against Forest and getting booked for time wasting. My QPR mate thinks the same, but it begs the question why is he at Man City? Have talked to Nathan Harness' dad several times. Think Nathan shows some class.2 -

His registration would have been with us for the rest of the season so can't play for Brum until the 20/21 season. Agree with that,also thought that Lucas Ness looks very promising at centre half,pleased & a bit surprised that Junior's contract has been extended as he comes from a very difficult background & a career in football is a good opportunity for him.bolloxbolder said:

Matt Smith was surely cover for Sam Field, just returning from injury at the time and with a setback in training?
And very soon after, Field hurt the same knee again and returned to West Brom, everyone assuming he was out for the season.
Remember, Matt Smith was the 6th loan signing on the books - so as a last minute insurance policy, was probably all that was available cheaply with decent pedigree.
With only 3 weeks of the season left and carrying a knock, it was doubtful if he would ever get up to game fitness in time.
And with his loan deal expiring on 30th June, the club surely weren't going to pay for a month extra to have him around?

People do really spout a load of twoddle when it supports thier over all impression of the current situation. Dempsey, like young Davison, showed some good moments under difficult circumstances. If he kicks on he could be useful. He certainly showed greater robustness and determination than I ever saw from Maloney, although in fairness I didn't see much of Maloney, if, as suggested above, it was a choice between the two of them.0
