In this frame, Aneke’s chest may be offside. However the shot is taken after the ball already left McGeady’s foot.

It’s a very very marginal call and I believe it only went against us because he was standing in an offside position when the ball fell at his feet.
Then the officials are inept ..... because the Offside Law clearly states "at the moment the ball is played".
Understand that. What I was saying is that the limo probably guessed on a call that could’ve gone either way because Aneke found himself in so much space. It *looked* offside.

Officials are not there to "guess" decisions.

  • Put sarr up front he'll scare the defence... God  we need something... And Lyle if youre watching.... This is on you you basterd!
Sarr has done shit up front this season!!
    It's called desperation!
We're not at that stage yet

54' The Reading players aren't best pleased as Pratley clatters into Morrison - not so much for the challenge, but because the ball had broken for a counter, but the ref blew for a foul.

    Good effort from Bonne
Not good enough or it would have been a goal

That's what the opposition Goalkeeper is there for you know... To stop the other team from scoring!!

At the moment we're still threatening and still dangerous so would say Bowyer has made the right call so far
My question for Bowter though is why does he feel we need two holding mids when Reading are sitting back inviting pressure? It’s not like Albie is utterly incapable of defending and he can always bring Field on later, but he can’t bring Albie back out now.

No but he has to make a decision either way. Flag up or flag down, it would be a guess. Are you advocating for VAR here? :-)

It looked 50/50 on a freeze frame replay. When he sees Aneke pick the ball up in a position that’s a couple of feet offside, I reckon that’s swayed him.

I reckon the lino's thought that as our strikers don't really move when they're in the box if Chuks has received the ball in an offside position he therefore must have been offside when the ball was played.

Because we can lose today and still get three results

Its all IFs whatever way you look at it but desperate for me is a result where relegation is confirmed if we dont win!!

Isn’t there a rule that the benefit of the doubt always goes to the attacker?

30 mins to save our season. Get Hemed on, hes more of a threat bringing others into play than Bonne.
