Tempted to have a tenner on them dropping straight through.1

Where now for Howe, that’s a big question.
He might have some time away but really needs to make the next job a good one otherwise look what did happen to Curbs.
Clubs will look and think did it only work because it was Bournemouth?
Could see him going abroad and doing quite well to be honest. Clearly a good coach and his attacking philosophy might suit another country.

Palace maybe? I cant see Hodgson lasting much longer

Only premier league teams I think he could go to are Newcastle or West Ham but don't see Moyes or Bruce getting sacked
Maybe Watford but doubt he'd work for their owners.
Probably end up somewhere like Forest or Norwich if Farke goes0 -
I actually don’t think he’s progressed as a manager for a couple of years now, Bournemouth defensively were terrible, and he’s spent a lot of money on a lot of very very average footballers6
-
The rumour was that Eddie Howe was being moulded for Arsenal after Wenger.
he takes full responsibility for the playing staff and controls their diets what they do where they go etcetera not just the match day situation.
He may actually be better suited to overseas and it wouldn’t surprise me if he maybe went to Germany1 -
Lot of people seem to be writing him off. He's literally had one bad season.
Saved them in league 2, then got them promoted, then made league one play offs. Left. Came back and got them promoted straight away out of league one, two years later won the championship, then kept a club that has a 12k stadium in the premier league for 5 seasons.
He won't be short of offers. He'll be back in the premier league before Bournemouth, of that i have no doubt.9 -
I really rate him! But I thought esi were our saviours2

I agree; Eddie Howe is still only 42.
He took over when Bournemouth were in danger of losing their place in the League.
The master class when they won at the Valley was very impressive. Instead of using Yann as a battering ram, Howe played him as a number 10 and he got the ball on the desk in the build up moves, and Wilson, Pugh, Richie and Arter would do the movement and he found them all the time with pin point passing. He turned Simon Francis and Charlie Daniels into Premier players by playing them as wing backs
( before converting Francis into a CB)
The big money signings have disappointed despite coming from Liverpool: Solanke and Jordan Ibe.
The Challenge for Eddie Howe is can he succeed somewhere other than Bournemouth ? Burnley never worked out for him but his record on the south coast is Jimmy Seedesque.

If he doesn’t move his family, he is very limited in options......Bristol city?0

I can see Howe at somewhere like Palace or West Ham by the end of next season.0

He needs to do something about his transfer dealings, Lermer was £25m, Solanki £19m, Rico £13.5, £12m for Chris Mepham and then this year £16m on Danjuma and £13m on Lloyd Kelly. That's a lot of shit brought for a lot of money, and I suspect Howe made the call on all of them4

Eddie Howe won’t be short of offers. You’ll be hard pressed to find anyone with the sort of experience he has in English football at such a young age.1

Eddie Howe will surely just go to them with his transfer targets and those with the actual money will do the negotiating - I remember from Curbishley's book that it was Richard Murray who dealt with Grimsby when we tried to get Clive Mendonca and Curbs was actually on holiday when those talks happened
Even in our case now its Gallen who makes the financial decisions (transfer fees / wages etc.), Bowyer just confirms if he wants the player or not and goes along to help sway the player
Seems to be a common perception (Maybe from Football Manager I dont know) that the Manager will simply be given a war chest and will be allowed to do what they want
In this situation I imagine the way it becomes Howe's fault is if the board go back to him and say they couldnt do a deal only for Howe to put pressure on them to state that whoever they're after would be an important signing etc. Even then though the board can still put their foot down if they want and say no surely?1 -
A managerial appointment that seems to have gone under the radar is that Eddie Newton has been given the Trabzonspor job.
He left Chelsea a few months ago to go there as assistant boss, then when they fucked the league up in the last few games they sacked their manager. Newton took over as caretaker, won the Turkish cup and has been given the job permanently.
Fair play to him, hope he takes his chance after many years as an assistant.6 -

Fair analysis of Eddie Howe in this BBC article. Good that it mentions the FFP fine and the Russian owner too2 -
No doubt Howe did well for them.
The question is could he replicate that elsewhere.0 -
