Managerial sackings, comings and goings

Craig Shakespeare was apparently asked to take over for the 2 games, but he said no and he has been sacked as well, from what I have heard0
-
Just a thought but I wonder if Pearson has a bonus in his contract for keeping them up and Watford are trying to get away with not having to pay it.1
-
Read in the Mail today that he wouldn't be their manager next season whether he kept them up or not.0
-
Been confirmed on the BBC now0
-
Pretty sure Pearson was only contracted until the end of the season anyway! Very odd timing0
-
If Bowyer went, I'd seriously consider Cowley. Really can't understand that from Huddersfield (or Watford).5

Seven Premier League managers been sacked this season. Three of them at Watford.6
-
Who would take the Cowleys under Varney, if Bowyer is tempted by Birmingham?0

Cowley brothers for me please0
-
Cowley brothers for me, sorry JJ but I do not want another untried manager running the 1st team.1

Including his time as caretaker manager, Bowyer is now the 20th longest serving manager
That shows the madness of modern football2 -

A few minutes later, "we are hearing Nigel Pearson has been sacked by Watford so he wont be enjoying his Sunday lunch after all"0 -

The injury to Deulofeu was a real body blow and following that Watford have picked up just 7 points from 8 matches.
Harsh nevertheless and a big gamble by the owners.1 -
Rumours circulating on Watford message board that Pearson punched defender Adam Masina after the West Ham game on Friday.

It seems that Craig Shakespeare, Pearson's assistant was asked to take over and declined. Regardless of the accuracy of the Masina rumour, it does all point to some sort of "incident", rather than a tactical decision.

Karanka being linked to Birmingham now0
-
Chris Hughton been confirmed as Bristol City manager
Edit: Hughton is in talks but the tweet I saw was a fake one0 -

would be a cracking appointment if they do though.1 -

Have to admit the fake announcement tweet was very good in terms of Graphics1 -
It was blinding. I only spotted it was fake because it hadn’t been mentioned here 6 or 7 hours after the tweet was posted. Which made me double check.
The Bristol City twitter account should use those graphics if they do appoint him now.1 -

It would be like doing a fake Charlton Athletic signing, and the player being an Accrington defender...2 -

"Hi Stevie........we know you have a good thing going up there, playing in front of 45,000 passionate fans & winning virtually every week whilst also playing in European competitions every midweek.......but would you fancy swapping that to manage a team nr Wales who haven't won anything for 30 years..."

He managed Luton to a L2 second spot and promotion, but has done nothing since except get the sack @ Stoke. There is the old maxim, 'never go back'. I welcome his return as he'll probably make a right fuck up of the job and mean one less team for us to worry about. Other than that he's the right man for the job6
