    Great signing for Millwall there. Agree with @Athletico Charlton post above, could be an easier championship next season

    Agreed, except for Norwich. I expect them to really go for it next season, they're strategy was to use the PL season to build up their finances so that they can be strong going forward

    Norwich seem to be adopting the Brentford model for signings. They've already signed 8 players for next season, all of them aged 22 or under. Keiran Dowell from Everton is probably the only known name they've signed, all the rest are young foreigners.

    That seems like the wrong way round, surely a fee should be agreed first? 

    Imagine being 20 years old and signing a contract worth the best part of £100M (assuming it’s 5 year deal).

    Will be interesting to see how Dortmund spend the money. Already spent well on Menier to replace Hakimi (who will be missed, gutted he's going to Inter) and Jude Bellingham to add more quality to midfield that perhaps Dahoud hasn't really shown consistently, and that could allow Brandt to play further forward if Can is rested or played in a back 3. 

    Think they'll need another attacker to replace Sancho at a minimum. Maybe two given the injury to Reus.

    Man City have a 15% sell on fee for Sancho so will be getting about 16m from the deal, which effectively pays for their 21m deal for Ferran Torres.

    Crazy that the two are the same age, have a similar level of top flight experience, not too dissimilar in terms of ability..................yet one player is costing 90m more.

    Try £350k a week on for size. He's sitting tight and running his contract down. He knows he won't get anything like that again so is holding the club to their word and squeezing every last penny out of them.

    Once he goes they'll be able to reemploy all the poor bastards they've laid off.

    If Ozil took a pay cut of only 25k per week out of his 350k per week earnings then that would pay for all 55 of those employees to be paid. Fuck football. But mainly fuck football club owners.

    Not justifying the crazy salaries paid to players, but many of those Arsenal employees will be in customer facing areas like hospitality which may never recover to the levels it had before the lockdown

    Arsenal are not a club that are gonna be struggling financially.

    Non League clubs and lower league 1 or league 2 clubs you can understand a few redundancies.

    But Arsenal have just won the FA Cup, they have Europa League football and get millions in TV revenue next season as well as sponsorship.

    They will no doubt spend in the transfer window as well.

    They are using covid as an excuse to get rid of staff and its appalling

    Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for 15m is a steal for Spurs.
    some of the figures being thrown around for players is eye watering but that seems cheap for a proven PL player. Just what Spurs need too.

    £11m from Valladolid.

    I expect him to sign for Liverpool for 50+ in a couple of years.

    Depends how you look at it. Obviously they're not going to be struggling financially like Dover are, or like league 2 clubs are. But they'll certainly be struggling compared to what they were expecting to earn this year and that's what everything will be budgeted on.

    Real Madrid for example aren't struggling financially, but Covid has apparently cost them 200m.

    But i do completely agree that it's pathetic that a premier league club, especially one owned by a billionaire, who have apparently just this week offered Willian 22m over 3 years to sign for them, can decide they need to let staff go because of Covid.

    My comment was tongue in cheek, it’s good to know that the majority of arsenal players are decent guys. Your Ozil comment is spot on
