    I disagree
I think alot of people here are letting the hatred we feel towards him which i also share by the way cloud the fact the guy is a pure class player and easily gets into any top 6 championship club if not low level prem and with a striker that can finish 9/10 times and bring what he does to a team as an all round player im sure he isnt short of takers even during this pandemic
Is he though? No doubt great for us but in his entire career he has managed half a season in the championship and is now 30. If he really was genuine top 6/lower prem material he'd have been at one of those clubs already. Thats not sour grapes, just an observation.

Players improve and there’s a lot of examples of strikers doing that late on in their careers, Yann, Rickie Lambert, Grant Holt to name a few.

Before this whole fiasco a lot of fans were labelling him as a top tier Championship striker, because he was. Regardless of what he had been doing earlier in his career - in the here and now he has demonstrated he is a very good player. We can’t just start denying that all of a sudden because we don’t like him

he'll get a club no problem, he's a quality striker

....it just might not be the sort of club/contract he might've thought he'd be getting 6/8 months ago

You cant forget to play football, just whoever gets him has to hope they can get him match fit and there are no injuries.

Well yeah, I obviously wasn't alluding to the fact he'll need to learn how to do kick ups again  :)

I'm not a spiteful person , but I sort of hope his career fizzles out now and he looks back on being at Charlton as his highlight but can't really celebrate his time with us because of his greed.

He is a free transfer, goal scorer, what's not to like,he will definitely end up with a team higher than us,just a big shame it didn't work out how most of us would have liked

Wouldn't be surprised if he went to MLS
  • No clubs are going to be offering contracts just yet in the current financial climate. Why pay a free agent a salary now when the season doesn't start till mid September

MLS or China would not surprise me.  If he's that interested in money then China would suit him down to the ground but MLS might be where he can kickstart a career into punditry or Hollywood - seeing as being in front of people seems to appeal to his ego

If this drags on much more it will be M&S as a delivery driver.
  • Big club Celtic, but not as as they think it they are aiming at ex-Charlton players 😉

He’d melt before an Old Firm derby.

Neil, you know we’ve got Rangers next week, we’ll I’m not sure I want to play. They’ve  got a couple of tackly midfielders and that Morelos is a scary beast, isn’t he?”

If he went to Celtic he wouldn’t be able to keep his egotistic big mouth shut . I’d give him two months before he says something political and controversial.
    He can’t help himself

Lyle the Loyalist. It's got an ironic ring to it.

problem if he does go Celtic

All he will say is well he is playing Champions League football so its a massive step up from Charlton.

If he went to Forest or someone like that he couldn't say that lol

What a load of nonsense, sorry but on the pitch he has never shown that attitude, its just the atmosphere he will enjoy especially if he scores.
  • Can't see them liking his attitude and beliefs. Good luck to the prick.

Steve Fletcher appears to have just turned down Celtic in favour of an offer from Stoke, seems to be about the level you can put Celtic at about now.

And his ex team mates play Rochdale on the same night because of him. I hope he flops
