I really really hope that he goes to Celtic. If he plays against us, we will give him pelters just like we did to Defoe and just like Defoe Taylor absolutely thrives and excels when fans get on his back.
If he does come back to play against us, please just ignore him.4 -
Does anybody actually think if he went to a Celtic he would be doing anymore than sitting on the bench?I hope he enjoys spending his thirty bits of silver wherever he goes. He’s up there with Parker as my most despised ex Charlton players.
Both cost us massively, one a place in Europe and probably caused the hell we have been through since 2007 (barring a couple of promotions) and the other Relegation at probably the worst time Possible given the state we are in.
i wouldn’t give either the steam off my p!55.Forgive and forget, maybe some can but afraid i can’t and never will.19 -

He left in January 2004, and for £10m which is higher than any of the fees subsequently paid for him. Plenty of money to build a new team

Why would Taylor be on the bench ?
IF there's any truth in this rumour then Taylor would be playing League 1 standard defenders most weeks in Scotland.
Because Lyle is now persona non Grata at Charlton it doesn't suddenly make him a sub standard footballer. He is a decent Championship striker who can play wide or down the middle and he could fill his boots at Celtic in a weak SPL.

Not even Celtic want him...32

Objectively speaking he is very good at football and he would enhance that Celtic team. That said, he might not be the type of player they're looking for. And also, he's an anti-vaxxer, mercenary Tory - so that would NOT go down well.
Anyway. I hope his career goes up the shitter from hereon in, and that he outlives anyone and anything he ever cares about. Except his wealth. I hope that disappears very quickly.3 -

BTW I read that you were hoping his career ends due to a drug habit.2 - Sponsored links:

He posted something the other day along the lines of flu deaths being higher than covid deaths and implying he was against a vaccine. Think it was on here a few pages back mate.

If he didn’t find a club and Bowyer wanted him back, would you take him?
Would score 20 plus in League 1 to get us back to the Championship.
(......runs for cover).8 -
He’s a very very good player - but what he has done is unforgivable I do hold him accountable of the relegation part13
