Nabys gone then0

Gutted to see him go, but it would've been extremely difficult to keep him with these caps in place.

No surprises there. Nabs was on a big contract, won't get it again at Charlton, and perhaps most importantly has never been fully trusted by Bowyer, so he would probably still be rotated in for Pearce in League One. He had an interesting Charlton career. Was terrible at first, became despised and a go-to for people pointing out the failings of Roland's regime, before returning and showing great mental strength to get to a point where he played for us again and leaves a bit of a cult hero. Who will ever forget him scoring that free kick, the last minute equaliser against QPR, or the insane pitch-length goal against Hull? I'm not devastated that he's gone because I'll never be fully convinced that England is the best country for his style of football and I don't think he would ever be Bowyer's first choice, but I'm actually really chuffed that he leaves well thought of. He earned it

Thanks for everything Naby you turned your Charlton career around and leave us a cult hero. Good luck in the future14

Shame ... All the best Nabster. At least you scored more goals in your CAFC career than Tomer Hemed2

Sad about this one, more than I was about Taylor. One of my favourite Charlton players, seems like a very lovely bloke as well. Good luck to him.

Shame they didn't include his cross for snakes goal against Forest. For me he wasn't used nearly enough....esp as he was one of the best passes at the club.13
-
Wasn't his biggest fan as a player but the mental strength of the fella to turn it around at Charlton and the grace he showed having received a fair amount of grief from Charlton fans was amazing and I hope he goes on to have a superb career. If he could cut out his errors he could go to the top, sadly I think he will be more a Titus Bramble who never quite got to where his natural ability suggested he would.1

My favourite player of recent times - I will miss watching him play.1
-
No surprise, but properly gutted.2

Beckenbaur at times, Les Berry at others.
Just a shame that mistakes are highlighted as a defender.
Wish him all the best.5 -
A shame but unsurprising unfortunately.
All the best to him for his next chapter.0 -
Anyone checked in on Leuth?16

Glad he got his dues here in the end, miles too good for league one.
Proper gutted about this one. Ridiculous range of passing that will be missed.

I don’t think we’ll have a centre back who can pick out a pass like he can for a while.5

Good luck Nabby, and thanks for the unexpected goals and pings across field!0
-
Will never forget his goal at Wembley.

thanks Naby what character shown to make it work here after a rocky start.15

Sad to see him go as as person
The end of an era as the last of the big money Driesen signings to still be with us9 -
He’s has more memorable moments than most in the last 5 years. Tend to agree that he’s been underused a bit by Bowyer, particularly in the run-in when we were so struggling to create chances. If either one of him or Pearce was right footed they’d have made a good pairing, as it was they layer the same role but were a bit chalk and cheese playing style wise.We won’t be replacing him with as good a player as he is, so his departure weakens us.Very best of wishes Naby Beckensarr, I hope you find a club that will love you like we grew to.2

Never rated him
Was terrible when he arrived, was loaned out, came back slightly better but still not very good or consistent, Bowyer never trusted him fully but he seemed a nice guy, could never fault his effort, just his ability and concentration.
Will never forgive him for that goal at Millwall but wish him luck in the of his career and life.14
