Taking a young lady out for a third date now, its going good... bad luck it was her birthday yesturday so i've gotta find somehwere to take her out friday night!!
I'm thinking around Covent Garden or L Square.. kinda restuarant/bar type.. any recommendations?
You know its bad when you have to ask on CL for good restaurants.. but so what i'm a bloke!

I hear the Rock Garden in Covent Garden are doing a good deal at the moment, but sorry, no idea if it's any good or not.0

Zizzi's is always decent atmosphere, not too dear etc. Opposite Bow Street Court and near Pizza Express. Depends what you want to spend really. £50 - £60 you can have the works inc wine0
-
smollenskys? easy to get home from and i think they have a bit of a disco in there.price is reasonable as is the food and the link says something about free champagne!0
-
How about the spud-u-like on Oxford Street0
-
Glad to see someone on here is having a bit of success with the 'Ladies' Tom. Hope it continues to go well.0
-
Cafe uno, charing cross road, don't try to impress her too much mate..

Try coccoon on Regent Street. Very Stylish and not too expensive. Floridita on wardour street was dead good aswell.
Failing that and you want to go somewhere a bit cheaper, you can't go wrong with Bodeans!

Well I found out she doesn't like steak so that kind of rules out smollenskys! Typical cos i bloody love steak!!0

I'll echo that. Went to Zizzi's last night in Whitstable. Nice atmosphere, great food, decent staff. Spent £40 for the 2 of us. Can't go wrong.0 -

Strada on Panton Street, better menu then Zizzi, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, or you could try The Portrait Restaurant at the National Portrait Gallery0

if you have a decent budget, try hakkasan. i really like it there but some people have found the waiters to be up their own arses.it is slightly lumpy though.0

Thought T's reccs were the best TBH.
Also Sarrastro is worth a go, very funky decor and they have kind of Roman porn in the toilet if it looks like it's all going west. They do an excellent pre-theatre if you go earlier.

ooooh yeah. love sarastros, used to be my favourite restaurant in london as i got taken there by an old boss for a lunch. first time i ever had humous!
well cool eating on tables up steps behind curtains and on cushions.0 -
I could be wrong but i think Tom might be one of the younger members, i guess this as he's very polite and not bitter and twisted like us older ones.
Hakkasan (would desperately love to go there) and a few other of the places mentioned might be a bit too formal.0 -
If you really want to impress the Laydee, there's always the Coach House which you will find in the Ruxley Garden Centre. Very nice with a price list to match but it is frequented by a number of Charlton players. Have previously seen Paolo Di Canio, Richard Murray and Dean Keily in there, amongst others.0
