And the ballerina is Jonny Williams?
Ah, makes sense, I suppose.
Wasn't that also a reason Pearce extended with us instead of going to Portsmouth?Oggy Red said:Do I remember that Darren Pratley signed initially for us, because we offered him a 2 year contract on a smaller wage rather than a 1 year contract on a bigger wage elsewhere?Henry Irving said:Or smaller wage but longer contract.
Something he said about job security for the extra year being important to him at his age.
Maybe, Dazzler. I can recall Portsmouth making an enquiry for him and we extended his contract to keep him here.Dazzler21 said:Wasn't that also a reason Pearce extended with us instead of going to Portsmouth?Oggy Red said:Do I remember that Darren Pratley signed initially for us, because we offered him a 2 year contract on a smaller wage rather than a 1 year contract on a bigger wage elsewhere?Henry Irving said:Or smaller wage but longer contract.

The personal and family upheaval of constantly moving must be unpleasant too, especially when you have children. You either have to move your family around the country or you have to live from a suitcase away from them, which is additional expense alsoOggy Red said:Maybe, Dazzler. But can't remember the detail.
It's often the case though that players in their 30s would rather have the job security of a longer contract on smaller wage, rather than only one year on higher wages.
And once you've been in the game a while as long as you were fairly sensible you've probably got enough set by that you don't NEED a massive wave any more, at least not badly enough to make it worth the hassle of moving.killerandflash said:The personal and family upheaval of constantly moving must be unpleasant too, especially when you have children. The bad news: you can't watch it if you don't pay.
The good news - there's usually an article on the OS, with quotes from the interview, after a couple of days.

Personally, I'm not quite that desperate - and be happy to wait a short while until I can read the OS article.
But then, that's just me.
No wonder he looks so anxious.ForeverAddickted said:

I did hope that under 18 and under 23 games would be live - or at least viewable.I really am reconsidering if I should continue but want to support the club going forward. They have to increase the value of being a member - but it will be at the expense of those supporters who cannot or choose not to pay. That said, new signings interviews should be shared to all as this is fundamental to us all.
