We did most of the time.SheedyCAFC said:Early days in the league still but we should be expected to have enough quality in our squad to beat them, but then again we thought we would turn up and play Gillingham off the park.2 -
I was not too disappointed after Saturday as you are not going to win every game and we didn't lose. But the biggest reason I was ok with it is that I felt we looked far better than them. We didn't create as many chances as we should have, and were not at our best, but I think we had more chances to win it. If we play like that tonight, even if it isn't brilliant, we ought to win.1

            We will crush them.1

Other than one fantastic save by Amos, and their penalty which was never in a million years, they didn't trouble us. We looked comfortable and should've left with all 3 points. It would've been a travesty had we left with anything less than a point.
Tonight, I think we will continue to play good football and the quality with have amongst the squad will be enough to bring home the 3 points tonight.1 -

It is surprising but I think the surprise for me so far is how he is picked for Wales. So far we have seen a very ordinary player. He may well have not performed to the best of his ability for us but if that's the case that has to change. Either way, he's not been good enough. However if there as a fan, I would be encouraging him. I reserve booing for the Hasslewanks of this world.Leuth said:

I would agree that if you can't play Levitt against the top sides, and can't play him against the big physical Route 1 sides, that doesn't leave many games where you would play him, Burton surely being one of themElliotCAFC said:
Yeah it’s CDM not CB, it does look misleading. I’ve put him there so he has a chance to dictate play from deep. Pratley is more than capable of being a ball winner slightly further up, he’s played right side of the diamond multiple times - although I do prefer him at the base.ross1 said:
Have you got Levitt and Pratley in the wrong positions?, everyone on here says levitt cannot tackle, so not ideal for a CB or CDMElliotCAFC said:Alarm bells ringing if we don’t win this. Burton are no mugs but you’ve got to be getting 3 points here if you want to get promoted automatically.
Ideally you wouldn’t change the team too much but with Ipswich at the weekend it’s best to keep things fresh(ish).
I’m trying to squeeze Levitt in because if he can’t get a game against bottom of the league he’s hardly going to play against anyone else.0 -

We play against these teams in the same manner as we play against 10 men, following a sending off!The Prince-e-Paul said:Always a potential banana skin when we play teams on an awful winless run. Especially when we are so long unbeaten. I fear our makeshift defence and lack of goal threat will render us toothless and vulnerable at the back. Burton have earned their right to play in league one so they will give it their all. Despite our form it still seems that we aren't really set up to win big.
A tight affair 1-0 either way.1 -

Williams usually looks comfortable in Wales' gameplans and shown that he can be effective.
I guess you have to set up to play to his strengths.
There's a player there. Williams changed the game when he came on as sub at Wembley.
Before he picked up the injury that cost him half a season's fitness, he was in great form for the first 10 matches last season in the Championship.
He was played in his own specialist position and given a run in the side.
We're not getting the best out of the player. We need to ask why.

The ultimate banana skin is laid before us. It should be 3 points but football is not like that. Dodgy free kick deflects in and we fail to pull it back, 1-0 to Burton.0

We have a frustrating habit of helping out teams who have been on a bad run before we play them . My only consolation is I believe the current crop of our players will be too good to fall for it this time. Fingers crossed. I forecast a win and 3 points to carry on the unbeaten run.BansteadAddick said:The ultimate banana skin is laid before us. It should be 3 points but football is not like that. I wasn't confident at Gillingham as I thought our CB's would struggle without Inniss and Famewo and the Gills would bombard our box. We coped fine and despite not being fluent in the final third we scored from open play with the double act subs, Smyth and Aneke.
For Maddison to be the asset I believe he will be, tonight's game is when he shows the undecided how good he is at this level.
Maddison a brace, and bogle in a 3-1 win.
Still in 3rd gear but comfortable.

            Can only be:
Amos
Matthews, Gunter, Pratley, Maatsen
Watson, Shinnie
Maddison
Smyth, Bogle, Washington
I assume, very attacking, finish em off early then rest up for Saturday.0 -

It’ll either be a diamond with Maddison behind the front two, or we match them up and play 4-3-3 with Maddison on the right and Smyth on the left.
