A strange club though, in that they had one great season in 2017/18 which neither they nor their manager Paul Hurst have been able to repeat subsequently. It seems a long time ago that they beat us in the playoffs, winning both legs 1-00 -

Wonder who they think will be better... Cowley?0
-
Parky I saw this a while back .0
-
Dont know how true it is, but have been told by someone they have already spoken to Gus Poyet1
-
He has gone from 12/1 at 5.20 to 4/1 at 5.30 lol so that information has obviously got around and people have put money on0
-
Paul Cook also being spoken about.
Also speculation that new owners have made the decision but that seems like wishful thinking from fans.
I mean what sensible well run club would let potential new owners make decisions and drive company cars before they have closed the deal?6 -
Paul Cook would be a much better appointment than Poyet in my opinion as he knows the lower leagues much better.
Poyet hasn't managed in England since Sunderland sacked him 5 years ago.2 -

Parky will get to keep a Range Rover I expect. He brought Jacko to us back in the day and there is always a pint on my tab waiting for him when the pubs reopen.1

Did a great job at Bradford and decent enough job at Bolton
Sunderland isn't an "impossible" job but it does carry high expectations about success and the style of football. Parky seems to have continued on from Ross with functional football and lots of draws!

Probably true for most clubs. I use to follow Wolves a bit. When they were mired mid-table Championship, their fans were overwhelmed with joy when they got promoted. Now they are bitter they are not top 4. They think they are a "massive club" because the won the title when Elvis was 19-years old and don't understand why an ownership that financially cheated their way to the PL won't break the budget and flaunt FFP rules even more to win hardware.

It must surely be Paul Cook for the Sunderland job, although he did quit Wigan in their real hour of need .. does this show a bit of a lack of 'moral fibre' and commitment to a very precarious cause ?0

I'll be shocked if Neil Lennon is still in a job by the end of today.0

That's it then, Parky for Celtic.0
