In all seriousness you are correct.
Nothing will happen to him sadly.

If your family had died in this fire how would you feel? An utter disgrace. What a company.0 -

He will probably be paid off and get another well paid job elsewhere. Unless they can prove he knew they were going to fail and still pushed it.0

It’s criminal that this isn’t getting the news coverage that it deserves.0

The Police arrested an individual from Forest Row a couple of weeks ago as part of the Grenfell inquiry. Rydons HQ is in Forest Row.
The component manufacturers of the cladding system Arconic, Celotex and Kingspan were content to push hazardous products into the marketplace and sought to market them dishonestly. These products should have been safe, they should have been tested and certified rigorously, and they should have been marketed in an honest and transparent fashion.

BBC website. 9th news story. Below Rita Ora breaking lockdown rules and Scotland being able to order a scotch egg with a pint.
Absolute fucking bollocks.3 -

If you really want to follow the Inquiry, there is blow by blow coverage in Construction Manager, including challenging questions and answers and statements from all those so far questioned - all of whom appear to be trying to ensure that someone else should take the blame.

I don't understand why this system was designed, I can only assume that the cladding is thought to look modern and easy to keep looking fresh.
If the same insulation was rendered I'm sure this disaster wouldn't have happened as there wouldn't be a chimney effect and the heat wouldn't have ignited it.
I wonder if this could still be an option? I guess not as insurance companies and residents won't want that.0 -

I'm sure the fallout from this will come but as stated I can't believe 2 of the largest manufacturers on insulation in the country falsified its fire tests and it seem to have caused no more than a ripple. I thought it would be along the lines of the VW scandal3

And worse....
Kingspan staff sent each other messages internally joking that claims about the fire performance of its insulation products were “lies” and that the K15 product, a quantity of which was used on Grenfell Tower, was a “shit product”.
The Grenfell Tower Inquiry heard details of an instant messenger chat between two of Kingspan’s technical team, Peter Moss and Arron Chalmers, that linked to an email sent by Moss on 9 November 2016.
The pair discussed a question about which Kingspan insulation products were class 0 (a surface of no flame spread).
Moss said: “Yeah, he wanted to use K7 and I said only K10/K110/K15 are comparable whereas K7 has a class 1 surface spread of flame but not a ‘class 0’ product.”
Chalmers replied: “Doesn’t get class 0 when we test the whole product though. LOL!”
Moss replied: “WHAT. We lied? Honest opinion now.”
Chalmers replied: “Yeahhhh. Tested K15 as a whole – got class 1. Wheyy. Lol.”
Moss replied: “Shit product. Scrap it.”
Chalmers said: “But England/Wales is worded in such a way that it ‘implies’ the facing can give you class 0. Scotland is written better, therefore our product is not class 0 in Scotland haha. But don’t tell anyone that.”
Moss then quoted Kingspan marketing literature: “Kingspan Kooltherm K15 is class 0 (non combustible).”
Chalmers replied: “All lies mate…Alls we do is lie in here.”
Hearings at the Grenfell Tower Inquiry have been suspended until 11 January next year, after a member of the Inquiry team tested positive for covid-19.
