Certainly true stories, and of the time as far as reporting in the Sun/Sport paperseastterrace6168 said:SoundAsa£ said:
Are these incredible stories really true?Off_it said:
That was the Sunday Sport, and I think the double decker bus was found at the North Pole. It was a WW2 bomber found on the moon, of course!eastterrace6168 said:
Thing is that they are no more legit than when the Sun reported that a London double decker bus had been found on the moon, and ran it with a front page spread, 1970's i seem to rememberKentishAddick said:They'll appear at a different lower league club soon and all the paper talk of them being worth billions will help to convince the fanbase they're legit.

Well if you think about it it's quite logical. How is a bus going to get to the moon? But one wrong turn because of those road works at the end of the high street and it could quite easily find itself at the north pole.eastterrace6168 said:
So 50% right?Off_it said:

The bomber clearly flew to the moon.3 -

There was a paper that headlined a woman had given birth to fish fingers.
Tasteless actually, but the modus operandi would be to say Mrs Trellis from North Wales says......and then you can write anything.0 -
Prospective Burnley owner ALK Capital is hoping to conclude its takeover of the club in time to give manager Sean Dyche a chance to bolster his squad in the January transfer window.
ALK - run by US-based businessman Alan Pace - is pursuing its takeover ambitions at the same time as a separate deal involving Cheshire-based lawyer Chris Farnell and Egyptian businessman Mohamed El Kashashy.
The Premier League is yet to rule on either bid but ALK feels it is in pole position.
And, while it is not anticipated there will be any resolution before Christmas, the American sports investment firm is hopeful the matter will be concluded early enough in January to help Dyche in Burnley's battle against relegation.

After these yanks get hold of Burnley where's your money for Mo Kashmachine and his toxic lickspittle turning up next to fanny about not buying another troubled football club? I still don't get where they think the wrinkle is for them. Their reputation goes before them. Any buyer for a loss leading money pit, like an English football team, ain't gonna wait for a couple of potless brokers to get in the way to flip it and put the price up a chunk while burning all the available cashflow, the serious buyer will go straight to the vendor. Simples.

"The developments will come as a blow to sports lawyer Chris Farnell and Egyptian businessman Mohamed Elkashashy, who felt they were still very much in the frame, having signed a Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) and provided proof of funding."

I wonder how much money they’ve “gifted” Burnley on the assumption they’d be approved as fit and proper individuals?6

Surely a court won’t entertain this againForeverAddickted said:

A waft of stale fart. You look around and there is Farnell with a gentleman who has a Middle Eastern name...2
-
Surely an SPA only comes into affect when both parties have signed both versions of it?0

Any buyer can sign a Sale and Purchase agreement but it is only valid if the document is signed by the seller and the buyer has met all the conditions for the contract to complete and be valid. The proof of funding from a lesser known Egyptian bank is also well understood to be available from a Xerox shop in Cairo, but a bond drawn on a British bank, who should independently check the source of funds, is what the PL should be asking for.MattF said:https://www.burnleyexpress.net/sport/football/alk-capital-closing-takeover-burnley-football-club-time-impact-january-transfer-window-3070918

I feel sorry for Kashashashashy. All those billions that he is desperate to burn through and he just can't get a break in football at the moment24

Hmm, wonder if this means that Sandgaard is set for a new load of Farrell nuisance / shenanigans given that he is now scratching his arse again and still yet to ‘reap' all the spoils from the Charlton ‘sting’2
