  • I think he could do a job in the top division too. I suspect/hope his refusal to play for us raised enough character concerns to kill that opportunity for him.
I thought that too. Glenn Murray the template. Hard work, shrewd positional sense, always able to last the whole game.
  • Very well said Lyle... Am surprised he's not been made a villain by media or on Social Media!!

Hopefully if anyone thinks to, they'll remember he's already been very out spoken on racism in the sport in the first place
Yup, I fully agree with him.

Its similar to what Les Ferdinand said in the QPR statement when they and Coventry didnt kneel

I have never got the whole diluted message thing, seems a bit of a cop out. Whenever a game is on Sky and players kneel the message couldn't be much more simple when they kneel, "in the fight against racism". It's pretty simple.

But yeah if he doesn't want to kneel, no one is making him

"You see what is happening - I'm not going into my beliefs into what went on in the Capitol building (referencing the attack on America's congress) this week because I've done my fair amount of research into it."

Absolutely no idea what he's on about with that bit though

'He's going on about' that it's all staged or at least allowed! You really think it's so easy for a few 'Rednecks' to storm the senate, one of the most security
    secure places in the world?

He's got very unpopular political beliefs though doesnt he... Certainly wasnt popular with our fanbase with his comments on the subject a lot of the time - On a side note I was very surprised there was no kneeling on Friday night during our game?

Why didnt SKY pick up on that one...

We've hardly kneeled at all this season.
  • We've hardly kneeled at all this season.
I thought the two clubs would make a point of doing it though what with it being on television

Unless its something that has been agreed down here that teams wont bother

No, you are a bit daft! The BLM movement stand for being Superior and not for racial equality. This is exactly the point Taylor is making! We can all do our bit; black or white for a more harmonious world but BLM are not that!
Well you seem like a learned chap. But you've just done exactly what Taylor's done and haven't backed up your opinion with reasons, examples etc. You've proved my point really. Throw in the name calling and you just sound a bit like a knuckle-dragging Daily Mail reader. I'm sure you're not, but like Taylor, that's what you sound like by not qualifying your position at all.
  • Wow
    Ha ha!

Sikhs.....and I’ve yet to meet any Sikh that is offended by any British custom or culture, quite the opposite, don’t believe the media hype
Bad spell check! Sorry if I offended any sikh people. Your point is exactly my point.

It really isn’t, the media hype any sniff of a story to suit an agenda, left & right.
No nativities have been banned because any Muslim or Sikh found it offensive, I find chucking gay people off of high buildings and forced marriage of children offensive, but it’s not going to stop certain crackpots doing it anytime soon
Yes you are right but they have been banned in the past especially at Stillness primary school - Brockley as far  back as 1986! And of course nobody from the Muslim or any other community has asked for this!
  • It's funny how people were happy to continue with the thread when things were not appearing to go so well but now that Lyle has scored a few goals and the Forest fans are warming to him, the thread should be closed.
Been saying it for a while mate. Its a bit sad this thread
