All that for a tenner is absolutely excellent value. As someone said earlier, less than the cost of a couple of pints and something any number of people in your house can watch for the price.
(I still think I'm going to be "Whooshed" here.)
Im shocked at some people’s very high expectations. And we won. Imagine if we lost.5 -

(I still think I'm going to be "Whooshed" here.)It amounts to about £50 a month for 10 hours of content - circa half of which is not very good quality (the away match footage).

I can do apples for oranges too, how does it compare to a monthly Sky Sports subscription where I get access to multiple channels, gazillions of matches and world leading production quality?0 -

These streams are keeping clubs afloat... I think we're lucky we're not being charged full matchday ticket price for them
I honestly wouldnt blame the clubs if they did
Would be stupid because they would turn people away given the fact they've already charged so cheaply
But I wouldnt blame them0 -

My point was that I think the away matches are often poor value for £10 - that’s all. Didn’t realise I had committed blasphemy!2 -

Paying a tenner to watch the game live plus all of the add-ons is great value.
Not bothered about "world leading production quality", high definition, apples or oranges. A family of four watching a game for a tenner - the price of a bag of chips each - is great value.11 -

I think they have to produce a stream that most subscribers can watch with varying levels of equipment/internet speeds. No complaints here.1
-
So as we didn’t lose and can’t complain about that we criticise the stream even though we know in advance it won’t be the quality of a Sky / BBC live selected match with multiple cameras (nor reasonably can be).For what it’s worth I thought the stream was ok today and decent value all in.As others have said be good if this can remain a viewing option even post COVID0

Im sure someone like @bobmunro will confirm, there are hundreds of compliancy levels that need to be met by clubs to participate in the league. Health and safety etc
ifollow and streamed coverage has proved a financial lifeline for Football League clubs. There should be more stringent rules in place to deliver a consistent product to an acceptable level imo
No-one - least of all me - is saying the camera work today was good. But you've got to look at the whole picture as to what you are getting for your tenner.
As well as seeing a game you wouldn't otherwise be able to, you've got all the punditry and pre and post match comment - which is of pretty high quality. Throw in you can watch it with as many people who are in your household for that one payment and I can only say I think its excellent value.
4 -
Averaged out a tenner is ok. Some good quality, some poor. Bit like if I’d seen the game live :-) I’ve saved a small fortune during lockdown, partly on fuel working from home but mainly 50 notes on a home game and £100+ away so (for me) its good value. It will never replace being there in person and I appreciate its a stretch for some but for a closed market its not bad2
-
Of course it can't replace a live game but as you say it isn't bad. And unless you travel home and away, a positive is you can see more games. Another positive is you can turn the stream off and you don't have to travel home after a depressing defeat.1
-
Tithe home coverage may have better camera angles. But still 30frames per second. I have no problem with pundits or comms. But the picture quality is substandard. Fact. I would like to see our team in 60 Dom 1080 p. It’s quite a reasonable request. It’s 2021. Tech has moved on. But maybe not so much at se 7. Just saying !2

While the away game production isn't great - Isn't the price of the stream set by the EFL?
£10 is the cheapest we're allowed to charge no?I'm with the 'Great-Value' brigade on this one. Enjoying all games being accessible this season!4 -

Okay, you might not have been able to pick out the individual hairs in Johnny Williams’ beard but I always knew where the ball was and which Charlton player was which. It was hardly Iike it had been deliberately pixelated to save innocent eyes from seeing something unsavoury (might have actually improved things in recent matches). It was perfectly watchable and when you you factor in all the ‘extras’ we’ve only been treated to since Sandgaard took over, I’d hardly call £10 a “complete rip off”.11

I'm puzzled why VP allows more than one login on the account when you've purchased a game?0

Is there a few thousand still buying the streams?.0

I feel sorry for the Gasheads watching that quality every other match. I agree there definately needs to be some minimum standards and that yesterday's offering, particularly frame rate, wasn't good enough. It was ok when the camera was still but the slightest zooming or panning resulted in a horrible blur. The quality that we are get from the Charlton end is absolutely brilliant though and a real credit to the club. I think the League should step in with some quality standards and some financial support for those clubs that are struggling to afford the requisite technology.Everyone will have their own views on how much value it represents, largely depending on their disposable income and their personal desparation to see the match. I'm lucky enough to live in a three Addick household - a tenner between three of us seems pretty good value. I might feel a little different if I was on my own, but overall if there's one thing I'll miss about the covid situation it'll be the ability to see every single game.3
