So was our 1.0 win at Wigan a turning point or are we going to go back to being shite.
Come 5pm we shall know the answer.0 -
if we can get another win with pratley out of the side, hopefully it will conviince bowyer to keep him out of the side - could be pivotal to our chances this season0

For me a clean sheet should foremost, then try and nick the win. Will take 0-0, would be overjoyed 0-1.
However Oxford have been in reasonable form, think 2-0 to fatboy.1 -

I think our results take on a different hue when you look at form tables. Hopefully ours can take a leaf out of Burton's book. Away win again especially as for historical reasons I 'kin detest Oxford.0 -
Just have a feeling we are going to nick the points. Optimism meter rising.0

I feel quite confident about today.
If we win we almost certainly won't get relegated
After today we have 4 games in 2 weeks where we need to take at least 10 points out of 12. If we get to April in contention it really is all in our own hands.0 -
In recent years we always seem to have players sent off v them. Doesn't bode well with our Indisciplined rabble this season.
This fixture always means more to me as I have a very good friend who supports them. Used to go with him to the Manor in their good old days. Saw them beat Leeds and United there in memorable cup campaigns.
I suspect if they get the first goal it will be game over. More hopeful for next Tuesday tbh when we will never have a better chance to break our home hoodoo.0 -
Shinne will return to the side, we had a lot of chances to provide good ball into our strikers in the first half against Wigan and failed to do so. Smith will go back to the bench. Can't see many more changes apart from Stockley, can he change the back four?1

I see Mickey Lewis, ex OUFC player and caretaker manager died this morning aged 56. Spent 27 years at Oxford.
RIP.1 -
First goal wins it 1-0.0

He's great as co-commentator. Wouldn't mind him being given the gig permanently if I'm honest. Offers a lot of insight.clive said:3 -
Oxford are in better form than us so I reckon a 3-1 win for them as our defence leaks again. How many changes will Lee make?
I'd be very impressed if we keep our unbeaten run going.0 -
Result apart, I had a good day out last time we were there. Let the good times roll again...soon

Great to see that Brownie is back on the commentary, let's hope he can weave his optimism and knowledge into a good result, Robert Lee is back with Curbs, and he has bought yet another offspring to the party

3 of them doing the commentary now...are we missing a trick here for getting the fans back one by one and eventually having a few thousand helping with the commentary on a match day ? Add a few more being interviewed by SM and we could get a decent atmosphere goingeastterrace6168 said:Great to see that Brownie is back on the commentary, let's hope he can weave his optimism and knowledge into a good result, Robert Lee is back with Curbs, and he has bought yet another offspring to the party

I’m coming across as a massive Matthews fan on here lately but there’s no way I’d bring back Gunter for him. Matthews is a proper footballer and much better player imo.1

I don't normally do predictions, I prefer to just watch on the day and see what happens. Today though I have good reason to believe that Charlton will score one goal. It will be a left foot shot and will agonisingly hit both posts before finally crossing the line.

Sounds specific, might be worth a punt wonder what odds you'd get with BetfairStig said:I don't normally do predictions, I prefer to just watch on the day and see what happens. Looking forward to it, as it should be one of the better games of football we see this season. Neither side at their best, so a 2-2 draw feels about right. Aneke and Schwartz0

I've always thought of Oxford as a bogey team, yet my Oxford supporting pal from work thinks that we're one of theirs.

We don't do back to back wins. 2-0 Oxford.0
-
We must have ended the our bad luck by now. 0-1 win (via an own goal).0
-
Fancy minimum of a draw if Watson is there protecting and marshalling .
Will confirm the result before kick off once I see the team picked .

A scrappy 1 nil win against bottom of the table Wigan is not the turning point we hoped. 2-1 Oxford0
-
This is going to be a lot tougher than Wigan.0

3-1 to oxford0

I'm hoping for a draw today. I cant see us winning but a draw would be a decent result imo 2-20
