  • Why are we talking about the women’s team here???
No need to take CharltonLife back to the 50s ;)

Think Brownie is about right. We have been a pass away from about four really good chances. Making the wrong choice over those passes is why these players are League One. Chuks off for Stockley at half time.

To be fair to Chuks he's being played out of position
Sorry, not seen this. Where is Chucks playing today then. Midfield  ??
I knew you'd been biding your time...

Looks like he's right-wing. LB has played Washington in the CF role and he's got in behind a few times but final decision making has been poor.
He is playing up top as one of  a three, sorry chunes your clutching at straws thereim afraid,he’s been extremely average, borderline bullshit fella!!😂

Wtf ???  Our top goalscorer is playing on the wing  !!!

    Have no words.....
Salah scores 30 odd goals a season from the “wing”

I'm happy with that 1st half.
We look like a proper team again & not a bunch of strangers.
Everyone is competing and putting in the effort.
We look reasonably solid with no wide open gaps.

Aneke off before he gets another yellow & Stockley on at HT for me.

I’d have Chuks off at h/t, on a booking and he doesn’t look too interested to me. Schwartz on. And Smith off Shinnie on but where the hell is Morgan? Can’t believe he’s not even in the squad.

Strange half, real lack of quality out there, though don’t know if the pitch shadow, shaky camera work isn’t helping the viewing.

Smith the only player I think is doing a bit better than ok, his best appearance for us so far. Do worry about us defensively.
Nostradamus would struggle to find a positive for the second half, reading these runes.

  • This Oxford side are streets ahead of Wigan. We will do well to come away with a point

We panic in good positions, the pass is a bit behind and forces the player to track back, or the touch is too heavy, or there's hesitation and the move breaks down, or it's the wrong ball. If these are quality players they should be doing a lot better in these areas.

The match itself reminds me of watching Football Italia on Channel 5 in the 90s. 'Cagey' is the right word.
    One word - confidence.

HALF TIME: #OUFC 0-0 . A game of few chances with neither goalkeeper having much to do. It was United who ended the half on top though, so let's continue that into the second period. #COYY

Curbs and Lee both concerned about Chuks getting a second yellow.

Chuks has to go off. Can see a red card looming otherwise.

Do I think the current tactics are getting the best use of Chuks, certainly not.

However he is not playing on the wing. And to claim he is shows a very limited understanding of football tactics, both in and out of position.

Chuks has very clearly been playing right of the front three. If you can’t even identify that I’d suggest your other opinions aren’t very reliable.
