Officials not giving Charlton much. Oxford on front foot at end of second half. We got in promising positions final third but not missing decent final ball.
Chuks’ one contribution to the half to show he’s not learnt from Blackpool. He’s not got involved at all.
Part of me hopes we'll see Schwartz not Stockley if he's replaced - Dont want us going back to long punts up field
Been saying this for some time. Long ball does not suit us.
I dont think long ball is a bad option when its used the right way - Just worried it'll give the players an excuse to revert back to how we played against Blackpool rather than forcing them to think more about how they use the ball
Fail to see how a player can jump with him arms by his sides and if the ref as suggested thinks this is the case, there should be a lot more than 1 yellow so far
That was the second booking...
Millar got one early on, dunno why
He pulled an Oxford player down when they were breaking
I’d sum that half up by saying “m’eh”. We’ve competed well but been a bit sloppy at both ends. Not clearing our lines decisively, and wasting possession in good areas with sloppy final ball or poor decisions. Story of the season really.
The weird formation worked early on but Oxford have adjusted. I’d swap Washington and Chuks as Chuks hasn’t imposed himself at in the inside right area. Stockley for Chuks if Chuks doesn’t improve. Millar been quiet too

We panic in good positions, the pass is a bit behind and forces the player to track back, or the touch is too heavy, or there's hesitation and the move breaks down, or it's the wrong ball. If these are quality players they should be doing a lot better in these areas.
The match itself reminds me of watching Football Italia on Channel 5 in the 90s. 'Cagey' is the right word.

Blimey the VP feed is well ahead for you if it’s the end of the second half. Don’t spoil it by telling us the final score though; we like to suffer.

Smith the only player I think is doing a bit better than ok, his best appearance for us so far. Do worry about us defensively.
Looks like he's right-wing. LB has played Washington in the CF role and he's got in behind a few times but final decision making has been poor.

Have no words.....
