    For anyone interested in a comedy classic recharge, or if you are a newbie, just noticed that BBC1 tonight is a rerun of Fawlty Towers 8.30, "A touch of class" yipeeee, maybe CL reaches further than we all think

    BBC 20:30 'There is too much butter on those trays...'

    Tonight's episode 'A Touch of Class' sees Basil delighted when a 'member of the aristocracy' Lord Melbury chooses to stay at Fawlty Towers, but snubbing the normal guests who frequent the hotel.  He already has a booking from Sir Richard and Lady Morris, who saw his advertisement in Country Life ('no riff raff'), for which he paid 'fifteen? Forty pounds'.   

    Interestingly, 'Dolly' gets a mention even before 'Polly'.  We hear Basil's description of 'Brahms' Third Racket'.  And Mr Wareing, at the very end of his tether, patience having completely run out, is served his 'gin and orange, lemon squash and a scotch and water'.

    Wow @Chizz, i feel like a massive underachiever!!

    It shows that there is a massive shortage of programmes if this is getting a repeat at prime time on the main channel. Unfortunately from  the BBC's point of view it will probably get one of the week's better ratings.

    genius. I watch, can recite every word and still laugh.
