True of the other CAFC, doesn't stop our fans abusing the players, such as Grant.Leuth said:
This is Crewe. It's their model and it's what they have always done. Their fans would be weirded out if good young players DIDN'T leave after a few seasonsForeverAddickted said:
Its nice to see the comments on their twitter account - No one seems bitter about the moveguinnessaddick said:2 -
It must also get a bit depressing for Crewe fans - I know its potentially easy for them to accept their role in the Football Pyramid given they sort of live in the shadow of Liverpool | Everton | Man City | Man Utdcafcfan1990 said:

But they must surely think that they could achieve so much more if their kids stuck around like what we think.0 -
Looks a good signing. Do I take it we'll probably play him and Jaiyesimi out wide, with Stockley in the middle and Washington to come on late in place of any one of them when we want some fresh pace?0

When and who was our last “kid” who stuck around ?ForeverAddickted said:

If he was to sign on Friday, the mood shown by fans would have been much different towards the club. Patience, understanding, beats toys out the pram.0

We are the same. It must hurt them losing Kirk to someone in the same league, I'd be pretty pissed off. Phillips, Konsa, Gomez, Shelvey, Grant, Lookman, all went up a league or two at least.ForeverAddickted said:

We have a left back proven to be good enough to get us out of this division. Agree we need another, but Purrington will work well with Kirk, I'm sure.ValleyGary said:Good signing but we desperately need a good left back to bring the best out of him.1 -

Suspect Jayden is doing cartwheels right about now.WSS said:1 -
Superb article with an impressive amount of detail. The part below is good to read.WSS said:
“Jayden Stockley should be licking his lips. Kirk thrives when he has a physical focal point up front to work off; in build-up play, counter attacks, and from crosses. Kirk -> Stockley is an assister and scorer pairing that I would expect to tear up League One in the second half of the season, once Kirk has settled.”6 -
Great signing. Very happy with this. 4 years as well so when his contract is up we will be able to replace him with a champion's league player bearing in mind that's where we will be then !2

Kirk and DJ (if he can carry on his early season level up and form) down the wings sounds almost like cheating.WSS said:

Addickted was the first to mention Kirk back in early July!
Well done all for keeping us up to date. Really pleased with his signing.

Slightly confused by some of the comments on the early pages - what's the thing about Kirk's dad?

Talking of which has Golfie heard the good news yet 😉.LargeAddick said:

And half the fans will hate him as he hates challenging for the ball, he will lose (not even contest) 70/30 balls in his favour.
I still loved him though

I'm just guessing some clubs would have been sniffing around.
I still haven't got over Mike Bailey & Billy Bonds being sold ! ( 1960's )8 -
Only a 4 year contract? 😃0
